Well here she is....
After repairing the headlight motors I figured I'd finally take some pics.

^^^^ wow that is scary. Looks _just_ like my car.
Well I'll tell you guys the story of it. I actually bought this car pretty much the way it sits fairly recently. My mechanic built it for his son back in 1998, but he decided he liked imports better so the car just sat. It was driven roughly 3 times a year for the last 8 years or so. He's been trying to sell it to me for the past 6 years and I finally gave in, the price was too good to pass up.
If it had been for sale from anyone else I wouldn't have bought it. I'm not a fan at all of buying pre-modified cars, but this was the one exception I would have made, because I know who built it and I know how it's been treated for the last 10 years (he bought it in 1996 with 17,800 miles on it from the original owner).
Since I bought it, I put a stereo in it, removed the mudflaps and repaired the center console and headlight motors.
As far as performance...I am having it dyno tested next week. The blower belt may be slipping, it's set up to handle about 15lbs but the gauge indicates right now I'm getting between 5-8lbs. I do know this, with the stock exhaust system+flowmaster muffler and street tires, it ran 12.10 in the quarter. When the 4" exhaust was put on it made a tremendous difference, but the car wasn't taken to the track after that because it doesn't have a roll cage. With drag radials I'm guessing mid 11s, but I'm not going to run it until I have the boost issue checked out.
The car is an absolute monster, even with less than optimal boost.

I believe it is in fact the same car. Those plates look like 1996 Ohio plates, which is where I live, and he bought it in 1996. I'll talk to Eric again in the next few days and ask him if he ever posted on this site...I'm sure he did, though. Yeah, gotta be the same car.

Yeah I know the site is down, if it's not back up in a few hours I'll bug the admin.
Anyways the details are in my sig, for some reason it wasn't posting.
