Some pics being clean
Just thought I would throw some pics up of the Z all cleaned up.
Hopefully we can make it to the track one last time before things start getting taken apart again for their usual pursuit of something faster lol.

looks good for the most part except for the stance , i dont like how its so raked,it would look better if it sat flat.

a smaller rake would look MUCH better...it looks like its been taken to the extreme...a slight rake would really make it look sweet

295/65/15 and thats why the rake is the way it is any lower and the tires rub. I have slowly been working on getting it lower in the rear.

put some air bags in the rear that will limit rear end dropping during launching.
i use 5-10 psi in the drivers and 25-35 in the passenger depending on conditions.

yes i do run the 50/50 shocks, the air bags stop the springs from compressing as much, they do lead to a bumpier ride, but it's better than having it way jack'd up

That sounds like a good plan. What tire size are you running? I wanna transfer to a 325/50/15 with a 15X10 rim. Do you know what kinda backspacing I would be needing in order to make it a proper fitment?
Also what kinda gears are you runnin? and times?

i'm running 28x10.50 ET drags on 15x8 with 4.5bs pro stars
some people run 15x10 rims with 5.5bs on them. Some inner fender mods will be needed for the slicks to fit or in your case the drag radials. Bump stop removal and metal welded in place of it and the lower front part of the wheelwell is typically beaten inward or cut out and replaced with thin guage metal as well for more room. I also rolled my fender lip to gain room there and no more worried about them cutting into slicks anymore

295/65/R15 eh? Excellent, i'll have to remember that. I LOVE the raked stance you've got going on.
What width are those wheels now?

theyre mounted on a 15X8 rim right now (theyre the most I could fit).
xpndbl3 do you happen to have any pics of the inner fender mods and things done to clear? I would appreciate it very much.

I believe mine have 4.5 BS. I have liked them, they have worked really well plus they are larger in diameter so it helped give a little more MPH with the same ratio. But now that I have changed I would like to go to the 325/50/15's. I dont think I have ever gotten full effect of them though it seems like I never get a good enough burnout in the box before hand, and my understanding is that they need a pretty good heatup before the passes. Oh well im going on more time to the track and this time maybe I will get them heated enough and they will stick!

i don't have pics but the mod of the drag racing board has posted them before, try searching for wheelwell mods or inner fender mods with his name stephen87iroc or whatever it is.

sounds good, i'm hoping this winter to just change the oil, and put a cover over the car until next spring when I'll pull it out. Hopefully I won't get the mod bug some more and add more parts this winter.
