Pics of my dyno run
i had an oppurtunity to get on a dyno for free, so i put my car on it for sh*ts and giggles... heres some pics

i had a picture of me in the car, but i look really stupid in it so im not posting it
i made 205 wheel horsepower and 269 wheel torque. i attached the dyno graph. i also did the 1/4 mile simulation and ran a 13.9. Its pretty accurate from what i heard from other people who put their car through the 1/4 simulation. mods are in sig...mildly modded 305TPI
here is a link to the graph

thats some pretty impressive numbers for a mildly modded 305 now the 13.9 thats seems a little to fast, but maybe

Re: Pics of my dyno run
im not taking the 1/4 mile simulation time too seriously guys, i might take it to the track sometime this summer and get a real number. As far as making more power, i might cam it this summer. i know its a 305, but i cant justify a new motor (350 or bigger) when i dont plan on keeping the car for more than a year or so. i can cam it myself at work for under 500 bucks.

well if u do sell it (i suggest holding on to it for colective value) make sure u find a good home, that is a really nice car.

I would also, as those are coming wayy down in prices.
C4 vs 3rd Gen Camaros...i dont know its not worth the switch in my opinion.
I do love vettes, all the gens, but the difference in power isant there, difference in handling isant there, difference in price IS there, difference in styling IS there but im handing that to the 91-92 z28 over a C4.
Ive driven some C4s, they squeak and rattle just as much as third gens and are just as bouncy so the comfort and ride doesnt really favor there way too much.
But to say "i own a vette" is a lot cooler.
I would and will own a vette someday along with my camaro though
.
Back to the thread though, that is an impressive dyno run for an almost stock 305TPI car.

Re: Pics of my dyno run
Nice pictures Dan, looks good up on the dyno. I've heard if you switch back to the stock TPI dual filters you can see more horsepower than the cone filter like what you have.

Re: Pics of my dyno run
Looks good..good numbers..But take that cone filter off the TB and put the stock hose back to the stock dual TPI AIR intake. If you have the baffles out it flows pretty well.Alot better than that cone w/o the hot air from the motor. Lost .2 tenths with one of those turds when my car had stock L98 in it.Just a heads up for ya

Re: Pics of my dyno run
Id imagine when the car is cold they would do a better job, but once its hot in the engine bay theyd prolly hurt performance more then a dual snorkle type. Ive been wanting to get one to test out at the track.

Re: Pics of my dyno run
lol Dont waste your money bud.My car went 11.0s with the stock dual snorkel with the Miniram intake last year.It flows better than most think. That cone would only do decent in one of these cases with the hood open drawing outside air.

Hey ... post the pic with you in the car! It's always good to put a face with a vehicle.
