I tried the Sylvania ones. They suck. Hardly any brighter than the regular ones. Barely noticable at all. I bought the XENON conversion ones off of ebay. They don't work without rigging some kind of relay. All I did was install them and unplug the high beam halogens. They are so much brighter and whiter. I will work out the relay problem when I have time.

I've got the sylvania cool blues in my camaro & love them,, they are a much brighter (don't know abou the "cool blue" color tho) white light and shames the old halogens that were in it. They do however suck on foggy nights (because of being alot whiter/"brighter")

ok i have the cool blue lights, and i love them they are great, and as for the cool blue part of it, it is not called that because they are supposed to look blue, they are called that because they take the blue light out of the spectrum, therefore giving more useable white light..

ok about those "cool blue" lights, I have seen them in stores but they don't say cool blue on them, just blue. Is this the same thing? If not where can I find the cool blue ones?
Thanks everyone

The sylvania cool blue lights have CB at the end of them. If you have a firebird, you want p# H6054CB. Camaro low beam is H4656CB and for high it's H4666CB (I think, having a brain fart but thats def. the number for firebirds) The Sylvania Xenons will have an XV at the end instead of CB. I have the Xenons and they are pretty good. Everyone bitches that the cool blue's arent blue, when someone buys them they return them 99% of the time oh well

Forget blue bulbs. IGNORE THE HYPE. Do some research and you'll understand that blue headlights (non-arc-discharge) are not what you want to spend your money on.
I saw a really good site that explained it in detail but can't find it. Here's a discussion with some of the same info. - http://www.realbig.com/miata/miata/1997-10/1729.html If I find the info, I will post it. I can't remember the technical points well enough to explain it myself.

Hey camaro 22, i know what the problem is but i dont think im gonna go through all that trouble. i mean theyre cool and everything and a lot brighter but im tired of seeing my high beam indicator always on at night. sorry man. after i get bored of it im prob gonna put it back to stock or put in what the other guys were saying but i want to see how bright those other ones are first.
They don't make a bulb to go with the conversion kit. that is why the kit we have doesnt work without rigging some other switch.

Hybridz, in my 89rs, i put them in there first, and just unplugged the high beams all together, and like you said, i have the high beam indicator light on all the time as well. but in my 91 rs, the seller told me to just cut the green wire on the low beam, or just break off the tab on the bulb itself that the green wire goes to. so i just cut the wire, and unplugged the high beams and the indicator doesn't stay on all the time anymore. if i were to flash over to high beams it will come on, even though i have not lights to light up. at least this way that annoying indicator light won't be on all the time, something to check in to.

Hey camaro 22, thanks for the advice. I'll give that a try. I just really didnt have time to take it apart. I think I'm gonna just cut the tab. I dont want to have to splice the wires when I need to put it back to stock. Thanks for the tip.
