Nice car and nice job on the neons, man ... just wondering where u placed them underneath compared to where i wound up placing mine???

Did you put the front one right behind the air-dam and the rear one on the edge of the storage space?

What does something like that cost and how do you do it? It looks great on a black car but what about white? What color would look good?

street glow, formally low glow will offer the best "quality" for neon kits, if it's possible.

to get around the air dam i have a tube on each side, but there are other ways around this i'm sure.

a 4 tube kit will run around 170 with tax my kit was 190 with 6 tubes......the company is pretty well organized, their help and knowledge is usually good; my only complaint was their transformers! total junk! but they have a 2 year warranty so it's all good

looks good. looks almost like my car too, except i have red neons. do you drive around with them on? i've heard rumors that you have a better chance getting pulled over having either red or blue neons cause those colors are reserved for emergancy vehicals. i know in Pa, it's all colors are illegal, but in the city itself of pittsburgh, they don't care. i have tuquoise that i'm going to be putting on my 91 rs teal cnvt when i get around to it. i guess i'll see if i run into any problems legally with them. got 2 $100 tickets last year in the suberbs. well, once again, nice car, and keep it nice.

i put my front neon tube right under the radiator support cradle, it was too long to go behind the air dam.

the autozone near me had the whole undercar neon set on clearance for like $65, so i picked up a set.

If any one is thinking about buying some neons, i would not recommend buying them from autozone or pepboys. It might look alright but the quality is not as good. They break easier and there's more of a chance that water can leak inside tude. I recommend http://streetglow.com . Their gold series is awsome and they come in 9 different colors and some even change colors.

The car all around is bad only I would prefer the IROC-Z without the Z-28 spoiler. No offense I just think the IROC-Z stock looks better but the neon kit is badass I will get one on mine in the future. My car is Metallic Blue with 18" chrome Iroc wheels and I have that deck only at night the lights glow BLUE. My amp and speakers are Blue.( Does anyone think I'm obsessed with the blue?)

I bought my neon kit from a place down here in Raleigh, NC called "car cosmatology". It cost me a little over $200 (not installed). They wanted another $100 for installation so I said f*** that and did it myself. At the time i got them i had a 91 RS. Since i'd never installed neons before that, it took a good half day. When i got my iroc i knew what i was doin so it took like half that time. If you take your time its not hard at all. The hardest part was running the wires under the car away from anything thats hot or moving and finding a place to run the wire to the switch through the firewall.

Now I know why I'm scared to venture into this forum. I'm sure others have wanted to say this but didnt want to be a jerk. But someone has to. No flame but, PUKE. Dude take those off. Looks like someone who wears "BOSS" jeans would drive that thing.
That's almost as bad as the "blacklight on subwoofer" era.

Hey did you make sure you got a matching "light up" license plate frame and dice to go along with the effect?

Also, try some rainbow window tint. I think that would look phat as SHlT doggy dogg.

Pay no attention to them, I think they look hot especially that color with your black camaro. Theres also a bunch of others in this forum that like the neon kit. Its nice to have a camaro stand out. How exactly is it functioned. Do u have a switch, or does it come on when u turn on the headlights?

Dont buy neons from pepboys or autozone. Their neons arent good quality. If you cant find a place that sales them i think you can order them from http://streetglow.com/

The guy asked for your opinion on his neons... you all gave you answers, there's no need for either party to get offended. There is also no need to be stereotypical. I'm one of those crazy punk rockers (chains, spikes, long hair, big baggy pants) and I think it looks pretty cool. I would never do it to my car though.

With that said... yeah, the car looks pretty good. I -especially- like the head unit... blue black and green are some kickin' colors.

I know here in NJ the cops give you crap about -any- odd lighting on your car. (Then again, this is NJ, everyone gives you crap for everything around here.)

My .02 worth...

Just go to lowes or home depot and buy a piece of threaded stainless steel pipe that is about the same size as your exhaust. Also get a cap that will fit on the threaded piece. The hardest part is finding a place that will weld it in for you. Maybe get a friend to do it if possible. You need to find a good place to weld it (somewhere where you can reach it easily). I put mine right before the mufler so that the exhaust will exit through the cut out instead of the mufler. As far as inspection goes, as long as you have the cap on when being inspected you shouldnt have a problem. I've never known an inspector to look under the car at the exhaust anyways. The cut out gives the car a deeper, louder sound.

In think neons had their time and place. I remember when people had them on cars in the late 80s. It WAS "original" and pricey back than but in the year 2001, neons are just cheesy. Your car looks SWEET by itself.Don't bother w/cheap FXs.
Keep it real!
Neons are for people with ******s and if you think a ****** is "cool" than Neons are defietly "cool".LOL
