dilemma.. crossroads.. pics..
so it started out like this..

got rear ended by this jackass that fled.. insurance didn't do anything so im stuck with the bill.. my buddy owns a body shop.. inspected and said he could repair it.. paint and everything for $2,000 which is a bargain for me seeing as the insurance estimate was $4k+ I will be helping him out with some work too so the final bill would be $2,000 flat.

Now, I'm pondering whether or not to buy a shell and swap over the still strong L98 and my FRESHLY rebuilt tranny.. tranny had about 100 miles when I got rear ended. Wasn't cheap to rebuild it so I didn't want to get rid of it altogether; the interior is super clean too. So what do ya think guys.. repair the body damage or get myself a straight body roller and swap everything out..

Didnt this happen awile back? I swear I saw these pics before...
As far as what to do, I would go with the cheapest and most logical way.
The things to keep in mind when figuring that out would be price of another shell, time to swap everything over, and knowledge and patience to swap it over.
It seems like you already have the repairing it part figured out finacialy and a place to do it and help so I would do some hunting around for a shell and weigh out your options.

What do you thnk will be easier for you? Finding a clean rust free shell is kinda hard, but it looks like in the 2nd pic the roof kinda kinked. I love that blue color. It'll be alot of work to swap everything over, so its basically up to you & how much time you have.
By the way were did you get your rims polished at?

Also, if you did get a shell, chances are you won't like the color, or it just flat out won't have a good paint job... so you gotta put that in the prices too

Should have went after the guy, I wouldn't let somebody hit and run on me!
I say keep it - too clean, $2k won't buy you a clean roller and the cost to swap...
