Hello third gen owners. I have a major dillema. I cant decide what color heritage stripes to put on my car. It is the factory flame red metallic. I think this is a very beautiful color and when the sun hits it, it has a gold tint to it. So I was thinking of putting gold heritage stripes (rally stripes) has anyone done this with this color before. they are going to painted on so I dont want to make a mistake in color. Anyone got any pics of maroon (flame red metallic) with stripes, any color's I'd love to see what they look like.

 

This is the only Flame Red Camaro I've ever seen with stripes. Mind you, they're nothing like what you're wanting to do. These were a similar color to the body color, and were hard to see at different angles.

 

I have a flame red metallic camaro. I dont have gold stripes but my car has the gold package from the factory. If you look at my sig. pic, you can see that I painted my hood louvers gold. Give you some kind of idea what you are wanting to do might look like.

 

Thanks for the ideas. It's tough to see that last picture with the gold louvers. Do you have any bigger pix. I really like the way the gold enhances the flame red metallic paint.

Man some nice cars. I really would like to see some more. very very tough choice. I'm leaning towards a gold metallic I think it's a nice retro color right from the 80's.

 

The only thing that car needed was black headlight buckets and some flashy wheels. I went and test drove that car for Cam-aro about 2 years ago. It's an L98 and the paint was fresh. It was about 10 minutes from my house, and I have no clue if the guy still has it or not.

 

I myself lean more to the subtle side of appearance, so I would go with black or red accents. BUT if i saw a Flame Red Met. camaro with gold trim plus the gold stripes i honestly think i would like it. It's retro because it would look 80's and if GM had to put stipes on a FRM car no doubt they would have put gold ones on. I say go for it
