Thinking about painting the Z?
I am stuck on what color to go with..... Its a tie between canary yellow and bright lime green. I know most people don't like the lime green color, but it looks hot and stands out like a *****. Anyway, I am going to do the door jams and the hatch and under the hood my self, but just let the paint shop spray it. I will do all the body work (none really needed) and give her a light sanding and let the shop finish it off. If anyone has pics of either color and a 3rd gen camaro or anyf-body for that matter, post them or e-mail them to me....
THANKS

Pics of my car with photo shoped wheels on her, the wheels will be here soon, I will post real pics then, after I powder coat them white.

What is the original color of your car? If it is the white with hugger orange don't change. That is a classic combination and may effect the value of the anniversary models. I do like the yellow 3rd gens if done professionally. Seems like you are leaning towards the lime. I don't know. Need to see that photoshoped. But the best color of them all is BLACK. Nothing looks better, especially at night. Check the sig. Just my .02.

My car is teal green (see sig) with white racing stripes painted on by me. Its not going to change the value, execpt maybe make it worth more. I need to see both colors to make up my mind totaly. Anyway, my paint date is the 13th of SEP. So, I have some time to think and get it ready.

Which lime green you planning on going with? '70 Plymouth Sublime Green (or Limelight?, same color but I always get those names confused) is a nice shade of lime, but I like it broken up a bit like on the AAR 'Cuda with the black hood. I've seen a lime green thirdgen before and it looked real good. Just looked like one of those colors that you can get tired of real quick, plus it reminds me of the colors people were putting on their rods back in the early 90s, kinda an out of date color scheme right now. If you go with the lime, please just keep it smooth and don't add any tacky graphics
Maybe lime green with real dark tinted windows, shaved handles, a set of 18" TT2 wheels, a superbird decal on your rear wing (j/k)...

Oh *** ... not lime green. Just my opinion, yellow Zs with a nice cowl hood and maybe some stripes... oh wait... Oops.. taken.
Anyways, yellow looks good when new. I would go with that one.

Don't paint it lime green...what ever you do. It may sound nice...but believe me it looks horrible. There is a local Camaro in my town....that is painted lime green. It sticks out like a sore thumb...and everyone laughs at it. It looks horrible in my opinion...I never thought lime green could look so bad...until I saw this camaro. It is a beautiful car...but the color ruins it. Paint it Canary Yellow, get a 3" cowl hood, and to top it off...get black heritage stripes. Then go out and get yourself a set of TTII rims. Then you will have one of the nicest looking rides on this message board. In my eyes nothing can beat the look of a Canary Yellow Camaro. I am not a big Camaro fan..but if I were to get one over a TA...it would definitely be Canary Yellow. Take a look at the Mean Yellow Z...I have never seen a nicer Camaro in my life...and I havent even seen it in person. Do what you want...but I suggest you paint it yellow. If not, go with the Viper blue with the heritage stripes. Good luck..and post pics of your car once it is painted.
