Cool Blue Halogen Lights

I bought a new set of headlights at Wal-Mart yesterday because one of mine went out. I picked up the Sylvania set that said "Cool Blue" for $11.95 a piece. When I installed them tonight there was no blue tint at all. Has anyone had the same experience? I'm going to try and get a refund, but I'm not too optimistic. Anyone know of any lights that actually do have a blue tint?

From a distance they put off a sligh blue color, the main advantage of them is the light is a more pure white color instead of the dull yellowish white of regular sealed halogens. I have them in my camaro & love them on dark rainy nights,, they light the road great.

Another great, afoordable alternative to to expensive HID or other blue lights is here

(had to,, everyones being a little to serious lately)

I am not going into a science lesson with you guys, but... the cones in your retina react better in night driving when a car drives by you. This doesn't mean much to you, except that your conscience will bes saved when you blare some dog walker with you high beams. Soon it will be mandated. Ring-Ring!!! Class dismissed!

Let me get this straight.... you wanted blue lights?

In a twist of irony, I bought some lights that were called "Ultimate White" and they were very much indeed blue. I took them back because I don't like the blue headlight fad, not only do they just plain look bad, but they decrease the overall light output.

I'm not talking about the ones that look like blue christmas lights or something. I've seen those and I don't care for them either. What I want is bulbs with a slight blue tint to them on the outside edges. I love the look of the HID bulbs and would like to get as close to that as I can. I have a metalic silver car and think it would be a nice complement at night.

If you read the box the "Cool Blue" head lights come in it says that it is supposed to be a white light.

Yeah, mine are ****, but they are bright. But they aren't the same as those ones that don't make any glare in your rear-view mirrors, I want those lights!

well here in hawaii its illegal to run any blue lights on your car ... only police can use blue lights of any sort. dosnt matter if its the headlights or the reverselights, blue will get you busted here.
