well, you asked for opinions, so here's mine...

ARE YOU CRAZY????

i LLOOOVVVEEE my rims, i think that they are the best thirdgen rims out there no questions asked. i dunno man, i would think about it.

your car is sweet, i wouldnt ruin it with white wheels. i just think it would be a huge mistake.

what condition are they in? maybe you can find an old set somewhere (i found a set for my friend with tires for 125 bucks...i know thats low, but the deals are out there). practice on them, so that when you get them done, you will have the old ones if you dont like it.

i just think that with your car, it wouldn't be a good choice..but then again, thats my opinion, and if everyone share dit the world of cars would be a pretty borking place.

The clear coat is peeling on mine, so I need to do something with them. I polished the front ones, as you can see in the pic. But they dont stay shiney very long and I dont want to put clearcoat back on them.
I am willing to get aftermarket chrome (not polished) rims. But I don't have a clue to what kind will look the best. Maybe chrome Iroc rims. Any Ideas?

But I know, she just can't keep her hands off of it.

I would take pics of it now, but I am in the process of doing a ground up restoration. I'll see if I can scan some old pics of it when I first bought it 3 years ago.

It came stock with the car. I have a hard time hooking up, so putting lower gears in won't help any. 14.45@99 could do better if first gear wasn't wasted spinning the tires.

musta been originally an L03...

only 92 w/ the 350 is the L98 which is hardtop and I believe 3.23's in the rear. not sure what the 305TPI LB9 had but I know my L03 has 2.73's...

almost (i said almost) all 91-91 305s whether tbi or tpi autos got 2.73s

I'm painting and polishing mine right now, they are looking better red than the pink they faded to, and the polished aluminum looks good without all the flaking clear coat, however I am reclear coating them, the body man says its a must for the daily driver

I say if you want to paint them, then do it. Do what will make you happy. For me personally I think the stock 91-92 wheels (like the ones on my B4C) suck. I dont like the way they look at all. I would trade them without a thought for the older IROC wheels.

Mine had 3.08, then I upgrades to a 93 Z28 rear (3.23, rear disc and posi, oh ya and no spacers for rear wheels)

rear are by whhels, Z28 wheels (white insterts) and my new ZR1 wheels.

They're not stock wheels, but white on white anyway. Personaly, I like the look of white on white, but every car person to themselves right?!

This is a really old site of mine, and will be updated (and moved) soon. The pictures are not the best quality, but will do for now i guess

If you want wheels i say get some different style ones.....I don't think it would look good with the 91-92 rims that are painted white.....White cars with white rims look good......but they need to be a good style....

Holy crap this thread is old. Well anyway I sold the car a couple months ago. The car is not original, It originally came with the lb9 305, auto with 2.73 posi. It now currently has a 350 motor. And I have never seen a z28 with a LO3.
