I ask cause I think it would be freakin sweet.

I'm currently getting a windshield banner made with USA-1 in the middle, three stars going up each side followed up by a streamer of red, white, and blue for each star. And as soon as the wife and I finally get moved into the new place the cars getting sprayed ultra metallic blue with whitish silver heratige stripes, followed up with the stars and striped from the windshield along the side on the door in the same area as the old IROC decals.

I wanna see some pics of some patriotic third gens, haven't found jack crap in google searches, which is really sad considering I found every other generation and ours is the last to ever be made in the States....

 

i think i have a couple pics of my car on here i had stars in my blue heratige stripes and the stripes on the fender were red white and blue

 

alot has changed sence those pictures heres the pic i drew of the new paint i am in the process of doing on the car

 

"USA-1" themed thirdgens can probably be found in every trailer park across the south. Nothing will play into our hillbilly, ******* stereotype more than a thirdgen with a bunch of gaudy "AMURRR'CA!!!" style graphics/banners.

It would be pretty hard to pull it off in a classy way; more than likely it'll just come off more so hillbilly than patriotic.

we all know some wont like it. some like stock cars and don't think you should ever do anything to the car to change it. now i do think you have a awesome looking car puma and if i had a rare third gen i would keep it clean and stock but because i don't i want it to stand out from others and i also love the red white and blue and so long as i don't go over the top and keep it tasteful (to me at least) i think it looks good.

 

Thanks for the pics USA, I was surprised at how much I liked those stripes lol, probably wouldn't do it but now you've got my mind working on how tto incorperate some in there while still looking good to me. Honestly i don't like the flag as the paint, seen it on several vettes and a mustang around here, and I'm diggin the flames man honestly my favorite flames I've ever seen. I'm about to upload the design I've been working on for the tint zone of my windshield.

Puma I can see where you're coming from, but if patriotism makes me W/T then so be it. But I've never seen it, ever, and I grew up in the W/T meth capital of the world. The hilbillies I've seen only like rebel flags, camo trucks, and primer with chrome (honestly I was guilty of having to drive the latter way for two months last year, she still looks that way but has been in storage since December). IMO what I'm going to do is in no way more or less red- neck than t-tops, 80s muscle, and FBodys in general. Heck at least I don't plan on ricing the place up with a buncha foreign symbols I don't even understand lol

Might as well put a lift kit and mud tires on the car.

 

I'd leave it at a USA-1 front plate if that's your thing. You see those a lot at classic car shows.

 

You can make it work on a second gen if it is a replica of the Bruce Larsen pro stock and funny cars, but the third gen just looks like trailer trash mobile. Unless you had it painted by a real pro and even then..

 

I actually like it, but I think it is hard to pull off on a street car without some ridicule. On track car it would be awesome.
