Cleaning the wheels with CLR
Had my rear sway bar off the car, so I decided to tidy it up a bit... Used CLR with a metal scrub pad, the grime/rust/oil..etc.. came right off.. Looks great..

Them I got to thinking....(I get pretty dangerous when I do
)
What if I used an old kiddy pool and poured some CLR with some water to slightly dilute it and dipped the turbo alloy wheels in to soak? Then rinsed and dried.
Am I crazy or is this a good idea?

CLR is pretty strong stuff, you could take the paint right off the rims by accident.

Yeah, you're probably right... maybe its not such a good idea... How about OxyClean? That should be safe yet strong enough.

That " Awesome " stuff is pretty good. We had our asphalt driveway sealed in the summer, and there were aLOT of tar // creasote spots along the bottom panels of our vinyl garage door. The guy told me about " Awesome " so I got some. Used it full strength with elbow grease & cleaned up nicely! Got a few tiny spots where it took off lil bit of color, but noticeable only if you know where to look!!

Here's another photo, apparently as it says, you Can use it on Automobiles.
they will have it wherever the cleaning supplies aisle is and most supermarkets have it too.

Afterwards Clean
^Dirt and Brake Dust ^

I would have suggested Simply hot water and a sponge or some kind of wheel cleaner or engine degreaser or brake clean, but L.A's Awesome would work
