I ran into some clearance problems putting the torq thrusts back on the Camaro after installing the Vette brakes so I'm trying them out on the Pontiac. Thinking about keeping them on this car and getting another wheel for the Camaro.

Haha well I'm not getting rid of the rims cuz I still love them, just trying to decide which car to keep them on.

Re: Opinions on this look
The Camaro's stance looks good with those wheels but chrome TTII's look awesome with a black car. If you plan on lowering the Formula an inch or two it would look killer; otherwise I'd run them on the Camaro, they make the Formula look like it sits kinda high whereas the stock wheels don't quite so much.

The stock wheels look better on the Formula and the TT2s look better on the Camaro. They're pretty good on both really. As said though, the Formula needs a drop to pull them off. They look perfect on the Camaro.

I want to lower the car. What kind of effect will that have on how it handles though?

Stock wheels on the formula look like they just need to be left on it.

Re: Opinions on this look
Look better on the camaro, what size TT11s U have, my 15 X 8s were rubbing on bumps on my 84 Z28 so I put them back on my 78 TA, I think my tires were too tall as I had real meaty tires, but my 16 X 8 IROCs fit perfect, thanks

I agree 100%!

I think that when toned down and made to look more like Vintage Wheel Works V40, or V45 they can have a cool old school road racer look. I would sand/bead blast the centers and brush the lips then clear coat in matte clear with flat caps. That would totally set them apart from every other old man rocking TT2's, and make the subtle enough to run on either car.

I would lower the Formula anyway, no matter where the wheels go. Nice cars man.

Re: Opinions on this look
TT2's are nice wheels.. a bit overdone IMO, but they're a classic! Just get the stance right and they'll look great.

Re: Opinions on this look
Youre going to be hard pressed to find another wheel that looks "more right" on a Formula than the factory wheels. The TTs look wrong on the Formula. sits too high too - as in looks like somebody changed the wheels simply for the sake of changing the wheels, with no thought or sense regarding the overall look of the car.

I think those TTs look pretty good on the Camaro, but terrible on the Formula. also, i go in for chrome on white before chrome on black.

TTs are a bit played out, but who cares? with a Third gen, your sort of limited anyway - especially on a Firebird.

again, imho, NOTHING looks better on a formula than the stock wheels. i just wish someone would make a one-off in 17".

I grew up with Torque thrusts ... Cragars..... so i'm partial.

I like how you can see the rotors and the spokes have nice depth.

You will also need an adjustable Panhard bar to compensate for the lowered rear end. The biggest problem you will run into is the clearance distance between the cat convertor and the ground which is about 3 1/2". If you drop it down (for looks) you will only have less than 2 1/2" which makes EVERY SPEED BUMP a scrap+plus dips in the road+driveways and so forth. Put on a good set of Alston Sub Frame Connectors and smile for the next week because of the awesome way the car feels (no more squeaks or rattles) and it rides like Cadillac sedan over bumps in the road.

SFC's make a huge difference, I have them on my Camaro but I'm wondering if lowering the car would effect steering response or anything else you can noticeably feel.

Formula looks better with them IMO, the black with chrome works more than the white with chrome.
