Throttle body cover plates

I've been messing around again with my software and came up with this.

These would potentially be polished aluminum and replace the original.
I will work on one for the TA soon.

Re: Throttle body cover plates

The question is,If you plan on selling them, would you be able to sell these for Under $20, or be able to do custom designs if need be?

I'd buy one if you could make it with an image of Jessica Rabbit on it. LMK.

I can put most any design or image on it. Being as small as this particular part is, it poses some limits.
Doing a one-off custom design probably wouldn't happen for $20, but probably wouldn't be much more. I still haven't set up to do a lot of parts yet, I'm mostly working with the software.

Let me see what I can come up with. I will give it a try.

Just a real quick Jessica.
It still needs some clean-up and some changes, but I don't have the time right now. This gives you an idea.

understandable on custom pieces, if i had a need for a custom piece i could see paying $35-40 for a top plate, if i just wanted to buy one that has a bowtie or IROC-Z written on it then ebay is the best bet

keep at it, looks like you can turn out the images quick!

Hawks also has the basic designs.
If I were to mass produce any one design, I could set a low price point on the one design, but there is a lot of time invested in a design to meet the same price structure.
Most of the gearheads around this area, like to have a custom piece. But that is part of building something different than everyone else's.
I only do stuff like this because I enjoy design work. I've also modeled stuff for bikes... HD/Café.

I'm looking at making an engine dress-up pkg. for both bikes and cars that will utilize either the stock parts or a simple upgrade and will be interchangeable/modular rather than needing a whole new pkg. to change a design.

I will be making lit signs soon.

Re: Throttle body cover plates

Yeah, but most of that stuff with those images and logos you can't sell without getting licensing etc. Men in suits will be knocking on your door very soon if you don't.
