John's white 1992 B4C (ex Colorado State Patrol) and my 1992 Heitage Edition z28 at Round Rock, Texas car show. His hatch rear motor went out while there. We messed with it for about 20 minutes but no luck. Colorado State Patrol put in the interior roll cage and BMR support bar.
Observe how one can enjoy the beautiful styling of the Mustang mach1, displayed with its hood CLOSED, Vs the other cars with hoods OPEN.
Oh I dunno. The HO Z is a good looking car underhood. One of the last cars to use a dual-snorkeled air cleaner. It's mostly show by GM, to keep up with the Mustang of the day, but still cool to see.
Double Roads Tavern Jupiter, FL... yesterday.
It's been a minute, albeit a long minute since I attended a show. Great attendance for a show at a bar. 92 cars and I bet you'll can guess how many 3rd gens were there?
There were alot of 1st gens, 5-6 and the same amount of the new gen Camaros. Lots of Vettes and quite a few of the C-8s which I don't get anymore because they have been out since 2021 so I don't consider them new anymore.
This one's for you Mike! I do the 1st half of the show with the hood open and the second with it closed. As much time as I have put into my engine detail and I want it seen, I do agree with you about the styling looks better with it down. So this is Mike's compromise! When I shut my hood I was talking to the guy who owned the 76 Nova next to me and he asked if I was leaving. I told him no and I said I wanted to display the car like it was on the showroom floor.
I just wanted to post there here for all of us that attend shows and like to keep the hood down (Mike's Way) or struggle on whether or not to open it up. I am attending an all Corvette show tomorrow in downtown Abacoa. It's put on the local Corvette club and it's a judged event. Read rule 4 and 6. Mike I need your advice on whether or not I should buck the system on this one and go with my 1/2 and 1/2! Manny I see you also do the half and half.
I was actually thinking of just not opening the hood at all as my Vette engine is completely stock LS3, it is uber clean.

How many would show up for an "Engine Bay" SHOW? It's the uninhibited STYLING, the beautiful, often color coordinated Interiors of older cars, folks LOVE!
I appreciate engines, built my first one a age 17.
At Knox Mountain Hill Climb car show after a few hot laps at Area 27 this past weekend. Nothing like passing a Porsche 911 on the track 😁 and the sound of the open side exhaust!
This was the debut of the early 1990 livery as well.
Attended the Bethel Acres car show last month (April). Ended up with a 2nd place in the 80-94 category. Haven’t been to a show with the Iroc recently. Currently working on replacing the door weatherstripping and my bloated 1988 door armrests!

Love the '86 Z28's with the one year only "cow pie" third brake light.
This IROC-Z is an awesome example as well. Looks like it is well looked after. Thanks for sharing.
