I vote no, not cause your cars not well done. But the hood doesn't look even close to something that would come off a factory line. It doesn't look like something that would roll out of a dealership new.

I see it two ways, I agree with you guys, but the reason I asked the question was just cause I have so much factory or factory "styled" stuff on my car.
I wanted to play with the poll thing and its the only question I could really think of.

I also vote no.....that is for the exterior. But I vote yes for the interior. The interior looks great...and could possibly be like something that could have appeared stock in a GTA. I love your car it looks totally clean...especially the interior...but I feel that your car would look a thousand times better with the power bulge hood that came on the '82-'84 TA's and the later Formulas...but that is just my opinion. Great looking car though...and any word yet on it getting in that mag???

I vote yes because the new trans ams have the ram air hood on them right from the factory..Who's to say a hood like that couldn't have came straight from the factory then? The car is one of the cleanest and nicest thirdgens hands down and looks brand new from the factory in my opinion.

I have two leads to get in, but as of rite now, neither one has replied in about a week, I hate how slow people are to reply when they are employees instead of hobyists.

Man, regardless of whether people think it looks factory or not, that is a BEAUTIFUL Trans Am
It certainly looks magazine worthy to me

Hey 86 Fyr Brd car looks great whered you get that hood. I think I am going to need more hood clearance for the 455 swap but even if I don't I may get one of those. How much clearance over stock flat hoods is that one. Thanks James
If you look at it from the standpoint of if they were still building thirdgens today (kinda like Jeep still has the old Cherokee along side the new), is it possible that they might look like yours, then I say YES. There is nothing you've done imho that would preclude it (ie, no shaved handles, etc).

I vote yeas to it looks clean enought to...However, the earlier style ramair hood would have made it to yes, it looks like it could have been in a showroom like that in 1991...The RA2 hood is the only thing...The interior kicks some major rear...

I agree w/ most on this thread. The quality of the paint and cleanliness is great
The hood is what makes my vote to the poll 'no', that's it. I think the 4th gen spoiler coulda easily come on our birds stock

I voted no because of the hood and the paint. The color screams custom in my opinion(even though it is a factory prowler color). The hood comes factory on the 4th gen, but it also matches the nose on a 4th gen. Its one of those hoods that comes factory on some cars but there is an aftermarket version for every car, like cowl induction hoods.
definately like the boldness with the choice of color....but your mods are out of place to me! the car just doesn't flow together well.
like the originality though, keep up the good work

First of all, beautiful car. Second, it would seem like SLP or another factory authorized place would've modified it, so that's kinda stock. IMO, that other Firebird Ram Air hood, thats not as high as yours, the one where the lines flow w/ the original curves of the hood would give it more of a stock look. So I say it's mostly stock, except 4 the hood.

I just wanna say your trans am is one of the coolest, wildest, most rockin roll 3rd gen's I have ever seen. It is a treat just to look at it. Who cares if it looks stock it looks awesome, it doesn't look like anything a factory would make because they dont have that good of taste. The wheels rock too, good job!!
look into finding a different ground fx piece that beter matches the biger nostrils... see how this hood kinda goes with the ground fx?
that looks more factory... so find a more exadurated front ground fx piece that matches that hood and your car will be even sweeter...
