Mine isnt flimsy, it doesnt come with screens, I've been told it can be made functional with the suncoast ram air intake, I should have mine in a day or two if suncoast stops jerkin around....i'll let ya know. It is huge in the back if you are used to a stock hood. its probobly 2.75-3" in the back....hope you dont have to parallel park.
can gt auto help out here?? how can i make it functional?? also anyone got the site adress to suncoast?? i would like to weigh all options cause i know u can get a ram air kit with their hood.. also anyoen that has that hood any performance out of it??

In case GT doesnt see this and reply, I can kinda speak on behalf of him since I have talked to him about it....he doesnt "make" a kit to make it functional, but he is the one who told me he uses the suncoast kit, mine is in the possession of UPS rite now... http://www.suncoastcreations.com but before you order from them read my post in the aftermarket vendor forum
I have the gta auto hood and as soon as I get my car back together Im going to make a ram air air box for it I have the engine out of the car write know so I cant build it write now I havent decided if Im going to use fiber glass or aluminam but Im planning on having the car done buy the end of jannuary so as soon as I build the box I will let every one know Im going to make a few difrent vertions for every one so that all you will need from me is the air box and you build the rest or I will have a complete kit that will be a direct bolt on I have already done this with my truck and If I have time I will get pics and post them so you can see some of my past work

I didn't get mine from GT Auto, but it is the same hood. No, it doesn't come with screens, and can be made functional, but it's a major PITA because there are 2 holes to cut open, and the distance between them is about 3-4 inches. And it is hollow straight across (don't know if everyone elses is made like this, but it pissed me off). I had to fill it all in to make a straight tunnel into the engine bay. There are some custom ways for the TPI setup , but here's a pic of mine (not TPI), It works really well, especially at high speeds. The hood could be made a little better, but I am satisfied with it. I love it. It is pretty tall in the back when you first get it, but you get used to it. I bought screens from the GM dealer to fit the holes, I bought the WS-6 screens.

Only if you pay them $30 or at least thats how they use to do it. And then you still have the problem of the hood having an open space in between the outer half and the iner half. But they do make a great hood I have one one my car and Im verry happy with it. I used a rain gutter srean from lowes and painted it black coast me like 2 buck for the screen for the holes that way .

Same with mine. I had to cut mine out also. MAJOR PITA. Then you had to fill that expanse in with some body filler. But it all worked out in the end.
well i ruled out the sun coast hood its basically the same hood as i got now which again is for sale!!!! so i will definetly get one from gt auto.. is he back ordered at all? does any one know? if any one has piccs with the suncoast ram air kit hooked up send them thanks
what is gt autos website...if they have one? i can't seem to find it. i am just curious in cost differences. i know ascd is about 500 and suncoast is about 800.00. so far i prefer the ascd looks over suncoast, but i like the size of the gt auto hoods. how much do they run?

There is a link at the top of the page...its animated it goes between saying GT Aut accessories, and having a white T/A and says something about spoilers.
for my hood and spoiler it was $1040 shipped, that included the nostrils cut out.
