Every now and then. I saw where GK and Dirk were discussing some things a few days ago in one post, and he posts occasionally on the Cascade Crew board...

I can't speak for the guy but, as a guess, I bet he did that because it's his car & something like that appeals to him.
The car doesn't seem all beat to he|| so I can't see where it's ruined. Actually it looks to be in better shape than both my cars.
I don't are much myself for the wheel choice but, at least they aren't gold....

That does look dumb but I have seen worse. There was a Camaro up in northern Pennsylvania that had 4 wheel drive installed in it(I guess b/c they get alot of snow). It had huge tires and sat 4' off the ground! Should of took a pic of it.

I'd like a lifted 4wd camaro, now that would be cool.

I don't think it's ruined, I'd put different wheels on it, that's the only thing.

A functional suspension is no longer present in that car. Therefore, it's ruined.

My first thought was that he got the pieces mixed up when he put the model together.

Actually, it's a clean car and hopefully will some day be reclaimed.

Ooooooh!!! Not a bad idea! Think of the traction you'd get in a street race! Hmmmm.... 650 Hp and all-wheel drive. MUWAHAHAHA!!!

There's an 82-84 Z28 near me that's sitting on a 4x4 Blazer chassis. It looks like it was built by Stevie Wonder and his seeing eye dog. I took some pics of it but I still have to get them developed.

I love how every time this guy gets criticized he bitches and moans about how it's his right to do whatever he wants to his car because it's his, how he doesn't care what others think of his vehicle, and how he supports anyone else's right to do what they want with their cars, but then he goes and says something like this.

As for me, I think that car is complete crap, and I'm pissed every time I see a muscle car ruined.

Isn't there a law against desicrating 3rd gen convertibles? Ugghh... I'm gonna be sick . Just what every 'vert needs, hydralics to twist its body into a pretzel.

I'd consider the car below much much more ruined than that camaro Even though the suspension is still intact, not much of the rest of the car is...

I believe the law is, once you drop the cash & sign the title, the car is yours to do whatever pleases you as the owner & not others who believe 3rdgens were cast from a block of gold.

Deadbird, I'd rather repaint a car than try to put a stock suspension back in after removing 10 pumps and 16 switches. That crap isn't exactly a direct bolt-in. I'm sure you gotta make some semi-permanent modifications that won't be easy to undo.

this is how I see it...he can change the rims anytime he wants...but he likes them,

Im sure he doesnt drive around with it bumpin like it is in the picture, he can leave it slammed, put it at stock height, or even raise it, and drive in any position, which of us can do that, not to many, if he put some ROH rims on there and wasnt bumpin 90% of us would love it and compliment his car anywhere we saw it and never knew it had "6 switches"

and if its so bad what were you doin trollin the site to find a camaro, must have appealed to you somehow

Jim, while I can't disagree that some sort of mods have to be done to install hydrolics, the car itself appears to be in fairly pristine shape (aka, there seems to be some pride taken in the appearance of the car & a hack hasn't been doing work to it).

The pic I posted however, requires much more than just a simple repaint...

Amount of time & work involved to both, I'd place my bets on the camaro being an easier fix but, I have the advantage of knowing just how much of a total heap the (mostly) blue 'bird is (I was going to buy it at one point b 4 I got up close to it)

A wheel change on the camaro & it would probably be tough to guess it had the hydro's.

A friend sent me the link to the site. I saw a camaro in the list and clicked on it. I didn't like what I found.

It looked like it was a great car before he did those terrible suspension mods. Maybe one day it will be rescued and given it's suspension back, but it will probably end up being unrecognizable as an fbody though.

Re: This car is ruined

I think he did that in response to the "Camaro or Firebird" poll...
