I am not sure if this is against the rules, or if QwkTrip didn't want to be nominated, but I know his car is badass and I think it would fall into the pro-touring category, right? So, if he is ok with it, I would like to nominate him and his awesome 89 Firebird. if he is not ok with it, I will retract my comment and that will be that.

Yep, I can be nominated. And the car is different than last time. But I've been blabbing my mouth about how it's not cool when past winners try to repeat so I better "walk the talk" and pass for now.
Here's an all motor 150 mph dyno pull just to keep the thread fun though!

whew! that car is rippppping!!
ok, no worries. figured I would try at least. the other car I was thinking of nominating was Bad'n'Blacks car. but since he was a past car-of-the-month winner and even car-of-the-year winner, I think I will refrain!... also, I know his car had some major engine issues so I don't think its up and running yet.
Anyways, well keep us up to speed as to what the next part of the process is. !

There are more cars in this thread, https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/orga...car-month.html
And I hope those folks aren't sitting on their thumbs waiting for a nomination though. If you fit the theme this month then just come right in and nominate yourself if you want! I literally can't make this any easier!

Pro-Touring is about making old cars perform better than new. Curious what you've done to yours to make it walk with the modern iron.

Well it's pretty much bone stock, lowered 1.5" I bought it with 64,000 miles. It has a tpi 305 and a 5 speed. Only had it 3 months. Currently I'm building a protour 1969 camaro and driving this, then they will change spots.

Re: June 2020 COTM **Self-Nomination Thread** - Pro Touring
Sounds like a real nice car. Welcome to the forum by the way!
How about we do this: Next month will be an open season category where any nice car can be nominated. Go ahead and post up in the "Bait Thread" at the link below. There's a real good chance somebody will nominate you soon. (Normally you have to wait until somebody else nominates you. This month is a bit unusual to help generate the excitement.)
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/auto...it-thread.html
Maybe even start a thread introducing yourself and your car to the broader community. It's a great way for a new member to get noticed and start to integrate and make friends.
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/members-camaros/
As far as voting this month, there is a time delay between when you join and when you can start voting. Just a heads up that you might find yourself locked out of voting this month but just hang in there it will open up. These things are controlled by site administration and we (including me) have no control over it. Thanks for checking in!

Apparently you guys weren't done nominating yet and having trouble finding a Pontiac. I can help with that. I nominate @Beater79TA . Do I hear a second?
