My new sig pic, and a question...

Yeah, Its broken, just sitting there for awhile...

Oh well, anyways, my question is about the 3rd brake light on the hatches, is it possible to remove them? Or will I have like a huge hole or something wierd there? Im wondering because I think the third brake light on the hatch really breaks up the lines of the car, and Im getting another T/A this weekend, and when I repaint it Id like to pull it off. Anyone know?

No holes. It's just stuck on there.

The only thing is that if you have rear window defrost, you're gonna see where the light used to be. You may be able to find a shop that can re-route the lines across where the light used to be. I know of one here in town, but that doesn't help you at all.

Any automotive glass place should be able to do it. They have kits to repair any torn lines, so I would think that they can make some if you show them the $$$$.

The new sig pic looks good. Wish the centercap would be straight up, but looks neat.

Even if it is broken

I think he's talking about the 86' only chmsl, its mounted by 2 bolts that go thru the glass, only way is to swap to a non 86' glass, i got a 92' for mine to keep the 3rd light.

I think the important question here is ...What kind of T/A are you getting!?

I have no idea how to get the hatch light off

LOL, I guess I could go out and twist the centercap so that its facing up since its not moving.

And TAdan... Its a 1986 T/A, hardtop, grey interior, Red/Silver with the 16" wheels, oh, and no motor and transmission Ill have pics up for sure, you can bet on that!

If you remove the hatch mounted glass type brake light, you will be left with 2 large holes through the glass All you have to do is get a couple of the bolts/covers that are the same ones as the ones that hold on the rear hatch glass(black ones) I learned this trick from NoSaint I believe,Thanks Bro :hail:

Roshambo those are really sharp rims. did those come with your car. I have the gold crosslace rims, but I think I would like a set of black ones, especially if they look like yours.

LOL, thanks Don!

And Dave, they are stock 1988 T/A wheels, They are the same design as the popular Gold GTA Diamond Spoke wheels, but for the Trans Ams they were painted (I think) Black, White, and Charcoal, at least, thats the colors I have seen them in!

Thanks for the compliment!

What you got against '86 3rd brake lights??? They are cool. If you don't want it, sell it to me cheap this weekend! Plugs in the holes look like ***.

Didn't some law get passed that required all 86 and up cars to come with a 3rd brake light? If your state requires an inspection you may want to call an inspection place up before you ditch the light to make sure.

Of course I may be all wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.
