They have the Ram Air II for Camaros and Firebirds. Not sure about the SS Hood.

I don't like the Ram air 2 hood on Camaros either...WAAAAAAY too overbearing. In my opinion, it's a gorgeous hood, but it belongs on a 4th gen poncho.

I say go for the SS hood.. I think it looks sweet on Camaros.... The RA II doesnt suit most Camaros, but I've seen a few that do... Depends on the car...

Here's a pic of my intake setup. It pretty much funnels the air so it has to go toward the air cleaner, and once it reaches the end, the K&N sucks it in. I know I should find a way to seal it, but it works great, especially at higher speeds. And any air that comes out gets sucked right in. Thanks alot, lol.

I don't like the RAm Air on the Camaro, doesn't go along with the lines of the car. I love the SS hood though, only if I had the money.

It can be made functional on a carb/tbi motor.

I think both of the hoods look very agressive.

Does anyone have pics of a RamAir2 hood on a Sport Coupe or Firebird or Formula? I thought about getting a Ram Air 2 Hood for my Firebird, but I'd like to see how it looks on a non-ground effects car.

Ram Air Z, your car is awesome. I love the look of your sub box and amp setup in the trunk. Do you have any more information on this? Thanks.

I personaly like the SS hood. I like the Ram Air II hood too, but it looks more out of place than the SS. The Ram Air II looks too much like a 4th gen Formula FireChicken.

:hail: :hail: :hail: RSpeed's car. The ss hood is beautiful on camaros, no offense to RA2 owners but i think it still looks goofy on anything but pontiacs.

Hey 82Firebird, what kind of info are you looking for. Here's a pic with my Kicker amp under there. I'm getting rid of the JL symbol since I can't put plexi under there with the Kicker Amp, and I'm gonna make it a Bowtie. It'll give me more flexibility with the amp and it won't matter what brand is there, lol. Hey now, my hood doesn't look goofy, maybe out of place, but not goofy, lol. I know everyone has that thing with "it belongs on a firebird" but I still think it adds a nice touch to my car.

forogt the pics, sorry for double post. no, out of place doesn't always mean goofy but I don't think it's out of place I just said out of place because that is what most of you guys think. Not that it doesn't look good but doesn't go since my car is a Camaro. To each his own. By the way, I love the SS hood on RSpeed's car, but the one on the ASCD site doesn't look good with it.

I thought about it, but I think I am going with something different. I like the Chrome SS wheels though, they are my second favorite. Thanks for the compliment on the sub box. I get alot of questions about it, lol.

How'd you make the box and the amp rack? or did you buy them? The box looks so good and the amp rack goes right along with it.

It's all one piece, the rack is in with the box, and then the top piece sits over the rack with the cutout. It was completely fiberglassed together to seal the box and prevent any leaks. I designed the setup and had a friend at an Audio Shop in town help me build it. It took 2 1/2 days to build. 11-11 each day, then I was there from like 2-5 the last day finishing it up. We used 3/4in MDF board, used staples and screws to make sure it was held together strong, fiberglassed the sub part completely around to seal it up, made the amp rack and put it together with the sub box. The JL Cutout was made because I was gonna put a piece of mirror tinted plexi, but with the ZR600 it sits so close to the top that I won't be able to put plexi without overheating. I'm going to make it a Chevy bowtie instead with the mirror tinted plexi and put a 12 volt fan behind the amp to keep it cool. :lala:

Well,I highly doubt you'll get a blower under there. With my setup I barely have about an inch of underhood clearance left.I have a hi-rise intake and a 14x4" air cleaner on a dropped base.

Hell yeah!!!!! Black 3rd gens rock. I like alot of other colors too, but I don't think MY car would look good in any other color. Ya, sounds like you have been busy. I've been busy buying stuff for the car and working to get more stuff, lol. My Florida Thirdgen club just had a meeting the other night. It was cool. Got some rice on the way home, lol.

RamAirZ-I used to live in Jax and St Augustine. And I have a good friend in Hernando.

Anyway,to keep this on topic- I like either hood. What I really like though is the way RamAirZ has his functional set-up. It looks really good.

Hey speedfreaker, thanks alot. No, I don't have any pics of the box out of the car. I can make a diagram but don't have one off hand. I had a few sketches, took measurements, and went at it, lol. I could draw it up though. Hey RSpeed, thanks. I like the way you set up your car too. Ya, I'm glad that it is functional now. It gives me a nice performance improvement. I'm in the Orlando area. Kissimmee actually, but alot of people don't know too much about Kissimmee. If your ever down here you'll have to meet up with me. Later bro.
