stupid ricers!

Hey guys, my friend was tellin me about this accident that he saw the other day on 17. For those of you that saw the fast and the furious, do you remember the part where the civic drove under the truck? Well this guy in a riced out acura integra with one of those huge wings on it tried to do this. The car made it under the truck, but the tall stupid *** wing got caught under the truck which forced the car into a spin and slammed it into the divider. The car was completely totaled and the guy walked out of it with just a neck brace. Stupid moron

I hate ricers, but I loved that stupid movie and have it on DVD. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm supporting the enemy and all... the point is, according to the commentary, they had to jack up those trailors and remove the spare tire brackets etc to do that stunt! You can't do it in a real civic even if the dang thing is lowered to within an inch off the ground! Sounds like this ***** is even dumber than most!

I wouldn't necessarily say you're supporting the enemy, Chris... after all, remember that bada** Charger/Challenger towards the end? I thought it was a pretty good movie... rice or not, I love a car that performs well, and I've been pretty impressed with what some of these guys are getting out of their imports, performance-wise.

i agree, some of these guys know what they are doing. my first car was a dodge neon and so i frequented boards for those cars before i switched to TGO. there are a couple guys with race cars going 8s and 9s with turbos (the one in the 8s is in his 2nd year only of import racing). there are also ac ouple all motor guys going 10s and 11s. pretty impressive for 2 liters of power.. lol. dont get me wrong, no replacement for displacement but i respect guys who respect cars..

Actually, at the beginning of the movie, there is a "public service announcement" stating that the actions depicted in the movie should not be tried at home.

I thought the movie was cool, I like any movie that is car related and i do have respect for cars that really are fast. But i think this guy was a complete idiot to even try this.....haha, it just makes me laugh thinking about his stupidity. The only thing i didn't like about the movie was the fire coming out the tailpipes, that was a lil BS, but overall i thought it was cool. oh yea, after the movie was over the first day it came out in the theater that i went to, all the people with civics and integras were all reving up in the parking lot......haha, the real ricers are the ones with a coffee can muffler and think they have somthing fast.

Yep, the Charger was tight even if the blower and the wheelie were fake. However, there were way too many inaccuracies in the movie (I think the director, although a cool guy, didn't know enough about cars...)
1. NOS doesn't make your floorpan drop out.
2. If piston rings were fried by NOS, car couldn't run... well, not well enough to escape from the cops.
3. Wheels don't SPIN when you pop a wheelie from having a 900hp 440 and perfect traction which is HOW YOU DO A WHEELSTAND IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!
However, ol' Vin did a great job in the movie. As did his girl friend and the "Mad Scientist," but Paul Walker sucked.
Anyways, it's still a fun movie in my book... I just coulda done better; we need more gear head movies. It's all gone downhill since Mad Max and Smokey... okay Gone in Sixty was great!

Really he tried to go under a semi, and I thought me hitting the NOS button to escape a helicopter was bad. Just kidding by the way just a GONE60sec clip.

I love Eleanor.....:hail:

Muscle is Muscle right? I've owned 2 Mustangs and were better in certain areas. Actually I would trade my car for my first one back, stupid me, showing off in a near empty parking lot and totalled it. It's pathetic but every now and then I still have dreams about that car. Anyone else like that?

Here's what happened. My Dad put a 330HP 302 in it with stock 4cyl suspension. Took a slight turn, I was told got on 2 wheels a little, lost control, hit the brakes, and ran into a concrete block about 4x2.5 ft. It's there to lock the gates cause a couple years earlier I heard a guy rammed his truck thru the gate. You don't know how embarassing it is to try and show off then whack, lesson learned. I cried when I got out and saw it, not to mention what my Dad would say. I only got slight whiplash, I always wear my seatbelt, before I drive off, good thing, I know some people don't put their's on till they get on a road.
