How do I know what rocker/bumper emblems my car came with?

I've got an '87 IROC 305 Auto. How do I find out what rocker panel and bumper emblems my car SHOULD have? Right now it has gold IROCZ rocker emblems and a z28 w/ bowtie emblem in the bumper. Just curious if the rockers should be z28 also.

Go to your local dealer, if they have a parts section, and ask. Thats what i did when i got my car repainted. I just said that i needed all of the emblems for an 86 iroc. Or you could go to Next Generation and do the same, look up your year. I do know that some Irocs had "Iroc Z' as emblems, but 86s didn't. So i do not know off of the top of my head what yours should have. good luck

The '85-'87 IROC's had the Z28 emblems on the rockers and rear fascia. My guess is that your car has tan interior being that you have the gold IROC decals therefore the Z28 rocker emblems and rear fascia emblem should be gold too. Look at your RPO label in the console and find your stripe code. It should be 88A.

My RPO code is 88A yes. The interior was tan but I made it black with my old 85 IROC's. I was looking to get red emblems for the bumper and rocker, so I wanted to know if I should get Z28 or IROCs. The car has been repainted so there isn't the IROC-Z door stickers... and the guy who had the car before my friend (whom I bought it from) said he bought the IROCZ ones from the dealer.

dont forget the engine badging that goes on the left side of the rear bumper depending on your motor, it would be 5.0 liter, or Tuned Port Injection, IIRC

The old guy put on a 5.7 Tuned Port Injection badge. As well as some 5.7 Tuned Port Injection stickers under the rocker badges.

well if you are wanting to be stock the proper emblem for the 305TPI says only Tuned Port Injection, I cant remember if the 87 had engine ID rocker emblems, but I dont think they did

Yes the IROC's had the engine designation under the rocker panel emblems (unless it was an LG4 car) and they matched the stripe/ door decal color.
The Z28's Tuned Port rocker panel decal was black lettering unless it had the dark grey rocker panels, then it was silver.

not all IROCs had the rocker engine emblem, it started in like 87 or 89 or something like that

When I got my IROC it had no emblems but the gold z28 emblems. Turned out someone had repainted the car and never put the decals and stripes back on. By the way, mine has the gold wheels and decals and has a black interior unlike most that had the tan interior
