I plan on painting my camaro soon Mettalic Blue soon. I attached a pic of the blue I want. But I dont know if its the bright blue metallic od the dark blue?

Anyone that has a Blue IROC-Z this color, can you please give me the paint code off your RPO?

I think there were two very similar blues available. One is medium quasar blue metallic, which was offered in 92 for sure, and according to my camaro performance book, under the history section, they only offered this color in 92. This is the same color of my car, which I will post pictures of below.

I've asked on the boards, and my paint code is supposed to be "80U", although on my build sheet it just lists "80", but if you ask them, your local paint dealer should be able to match it up for you, if you just tell them medium quasar blue metallic, especially if you can give them the year, 92, that Chevy used it on camaro's.

I don't know the exact name of the other blue offered, but I thought it was some kind of electric blue. It's a bit more bolder and not quite so saturated as the quasar blue. I thought there was a section that listed all the color options on the main page, but I couldn't find it this morning.

The factory color for my car (1986) was black sapphire metallic... don't know where the RPO sheet is, or I could give you the #s. Well, actually, I do know where it is- either in my room or the basement. Basically, it's lost for a long time...

Sigh thats the color my car used to be before a body shop messed up the color and made it way off. Then someone hit the front and the body shop messed up the matching on the front of the car. It matches up close but 20 feet away you can see it esprcially when its wet. one day ill get it repainted to the color it was when i first got her.
