Swan doors? Do you mean gull wing doors like the ones on a Delorean?

To answer your question. I have not, but that doesn't mean they are not there. Would be kinda hard to fabricate for your door set-up though. Scissor doors are rare, but hey are there. Do a search on them and you will find them.

But swan does sound kinda funny...

hey where abouts in MI are you? never heard of swan doors in all my years, i was hesitant to even comment but since your from MI i'll help you out.

there are a few out there, some who post here and won't put pictures up. typically the conversion is rather expensive unless you are a fabricator and if you are you had better be good since our doors are heavy. doing such also limits the room of getting in and out which makes the car that much harder to drive but some of us really don't care about that anyhow.

anyway....is it possible? yes. has it been done? yes. will you find a how to or pictures here? no.

if you attempt this you would be going in on your own for the most part. good luck with it and before you get tore apart for being too smart remember they are scissor doors on the lambo, gullwing and suicide are also more popular styles....

i havn't seen lambo doors on a 3rd gen but i have searched for several kits they usually are expensieve and run around 1,000 because of the custom hinges and the shocks. I know some are available in automatic opening shocks or regular ones also most times you have to do a little welding on the hinges to the body and third gen doors are really heavy so you might need to do something about that. here are some websites i've found
www.cardoorcustoms.com

and a sissor door done on a Fiero

it has been my experience with anything for our cars that is bolt on that it is not bolt on and in fact takes much work to actually work well.

while 2500 is somewhat low compared to some places that's alot of money to have your doors open that way. however just because i wouldn't pay it doesn't mean i don't want to see it!

someone hurry up and get it done...
