I think that car is SWEET!!! Need to ditch that mechanical fan though, maybe go with a dual electric setup.

Car looks bad as he11 in all the pics, but the one looking down the nose of the car looks a little odd to me. Might be how the sun is shinning on it. All-in-all it's a very nice color. Great job.

the pic looking down on the front is kinda weird compared to the rest...could be cause it was early morning and the sun wasnt all the way up yet. the mechanical fan is gone and it has a griffin 4 core racing radiator and a single electric fan....car doesnt go above 170 degrees now. thanks for the feedback on the car and thanks in advance for any more feedback.

whats to mopar? this car has "more power" then a mopar. lol
PS: THIS CAR IS ALWAYS FOR SALE...MAKE AN OFFER
NEW CRATE ENGINE AND 700R4 WILL BE GOING IN TO THE CAR IN 3 MONTH. this car has a ford 9 inch with 3:91 ring and pinion. new 15" torque thrust d wheels and tires. front tires are about 7" of tread on the ground and the rear has about 10.5" on the ground and the wheels and tires are still inside the wheel wells. the interior was just reupholstered black vinyl and blue velvet crush along with all black plastic and new black carpet. the engine going in will be a gm 350 crate engine with 260hp 350ft lbs torque. the tranny is going to be a plain 700r4 without a shift kit or anything to make it decent for driving. the reason for the 9 inch was to eventually go race but cant afford to build an engine or tranny right now due to putting $9000 into the rest of the car. this has south side machining sub frame connectors and lift bars. the hood is a brand new fiberglass big block stingray hood. the paint is fresh, 2 weeks old. has a new griffin racing rad in it. need to know more? just ask

we painted over the handle in an attempt to get a different look, also the handles werent in the best shape and trying to build a in 5 weeks starting with basicly nothing gave us minimal time to find new parts. plus handles are one of those parts that can be replaced easily. the wheels are a little to small but the price was right...paid $850 for wheels (2 ford 2 chevy), tires (goodyear gt2), mounting, balancing, and lugnuts.

ORANGE Z
That has got to be one of the brightest colors orange that ive seen in a while i like it alot .....the pearl adds just enough to it to make it awsome ...i wish i could afford to buy it off ya but im disabled right now and money is tight and im waitin for my next operation so if you still got it in about 6 months ill look ya up then hopefully with enough cash to get it from ya ..
Ok, I hate the hood. I love the color, but it breathes flash and custom and besides the engine, you look bone stock.
If it were my car, I'd gut the interior completely and go sport truck flash with smoothed panels, colored pleather and audio/video galore, then I'd do some black accents on the outside, whether it be a custom grille, black flames, or something.
It's too plain for such an awesome, bright, flashy color.
Most people here are boring stock ****'s though so they'll disagree with me.
I think cars should be built with a theme, muscle, sport, luxury, whatever in mind.

first to the person who says its to plain and it looks stock....this car has a ford 9", 3.91 ring and pinion and spool, wheels, tranny, engine, hood, exhaust. The interior is not origional, it has custom reupholstered front and back seats in black leather and blue velvet crush inlays. the headliner, kick panels, speaker covers, and some other misc parts are also in blue velvet crush. the dash is wrapped in black leather also. The sound system isnt done yet because money doesnt just crawl through the cracks into my pocket. This car also has sport comp guages. If you think thats still to stock for an every day driver there is something wrong with you. The hood in my opinion is one of the nicest hoods made...the ram air hood looks like **** on these cars in my opinion. the small wheels are there for a reason, put big wheels on it and race it? i dont think so. the paint is an awsome color and we were running tight on time to get the car to the car show so we didnt paint the black ss stripes on it, we will be adding that later. The handles arnt shaved because if i want to race at a sanctioned track you must have handles. The tail lights are goign to be changes over to corvette tail lights with the full delet panel and the spoiler and light panel are getting molded to the body but like i say the money is tight.
to the guy who says thats to much pearl....you need to see it in person.

As far as the wheels are concerned, they do look too small. Unless you've got big ole drag slicks out back, you need bigger wheels. Lots of guys I know run 17's and 18's, but switch to 15's for drag runs.
I like the hood too, but I'd paint the insert area black, so it looks like a functional scoop.
I also like the color.
Good job!

just change those little wheels and get yourself some 17"s and your car will look killer. I like the hood, not many 3rd gens have that hood.

sorry about the pearl mix-up, no...its not powder form
big wheels, 17s or 18s? this has a ford nine inch, its hard to find wheels for a decent price to begin with then you try to mix and match anyone else have a ford 9" and still have 17s or 18s that has pics for me to see.

Looks good. The color reminds me of my friends Z06. He had it painted Lamborghini Orange. Shade of orange is different (but still bright) and it also contains a large ammount of pearl. I like these brighter shades of orange better than the SOM I got on my car. SOM is a little too red for my tastes ...

Love the car, love the paint makes it unique... dont much care for the hood but if you like it who gives a crap after all it is your car. And it does look good although I dont like the rims the best.

The exterior definately looks stock to me except for the hood and rims, but everybody changes the rims. You didn't post any pictures of the interior so how would any of us know of any of those changes? How would we know you have a Ford 9"?
My idea of custom is hardly shaved handles and ss stripes. It's been done. Get over it. If that's your idea of custom, you don't know the meaning of the word.
I still don't like the hood no matter how much YOU do. You asked what _I_ thought "what do you think of this orange z?"

ok...how were you supposed to know if had a ford 9"? obviously you didnt read all the posts because i put a part there about the car being for sale and that it has a FORD 9". im not all worked up and i never got worked up, but if you pay attention you would have noticed whats done to it....since you seem to have so much money to make a car so "custom" then send it this way...besides that making a car the way *you* want it is making it custom....anything is custom that isnt stock.
PS is this custom enough for you? (since i dont know what custom is)

Nice, it needs a grille, and the backspacing is just plain all wrong though. I am not huge on big block hoods, but it seems to suit that car.

I never said I had a lot of money to make things custom, my car isn't even painted right now, and it's about 4-5 different colors. We're not critiquing _my_ car.
Why the hell does a custom mini truck have to do with third gens? You do know that all posts are required to be third gen related, don't you?

ignore mathius im not sure whats wrong with that guy.
Car looks absolutly fantastic man, i had a chance to drive a viper a couple weeks ago (exotic car rental place me and buddies paid to drive a viper RT-10 or a ferrari 360 spider for an hour each) and when youd drive by the two cars sitting in the parking lot just completly stood out from everything else they were impossible to miss. I bet yours is the same way i really love it.

yeah...got what you guys said, ill ignore him. It makes it so much better when they dont have anything thats(and ill lightly put this) better. is it jealousy that makes someone talk crap on someone elses car?
to the guy that wants the paint code...ill get back to you i have to get the sticker and send you the numbers, it is a custom mix.
what do you mean the backspacing is wrong? not to argue cause im seriously wondering. those are 10.5" wide tires (at the tread not the sidewalls) so the back has to stay where it is in order to keep the tire under the wheel well...the only way to change the backspacing on the torque thrust d wheels is to put spacers behind them and i dont see that being good for the spindles or ball joints cause you are pushing the weight farther out away from the spindle. can you explain it to me if im wrong
