I had a collected interior parts over the years for my medium dark royal blue 83 ta. That car bit the dust so I used it in this car. These blue interior parts were hard to find since they were available in 83 and 84 only.

I have 1 more pic so far. I got the GM logo seatbelts in blue, these were not easy to find. I think they add a nice touch. Sorry for the bad picture.

Most of it came from a inside and out medium dark royal blue TA I had. The rest was from 2 parts cars I found. I took the best of these cars and almost had a complete interior. It was harder to find than the gold and even red interiors. I need to have the top of the back seat rests redone due to sun rot. The carpet was new from jc whitney. I miss the old blue ta.

It is much easier to go with a grey interior. The years dont even have to match to look good, you can make a mutt grey interior from any number of donor cars and have it look good. My other car had greys from 4 different years of camaros and firebirds and came out great.

OK, I saw this thread a month ago and bit my tongue, but since it's back at the top, I've got to ask:

What would possess you to put a BLUE interior in a RED car? You're getting a lot of "that looks great" comments because your camera washed out the color and the seats look gray in the pictures.

I'll bet when you see it in person, it's obvious that the blue clashes with the red. It's not just me, is it???

Totally impressive work. The current state of the car is a BIG payoff.

Congrats!

At least mine was not an 1983 V6 that now has an identity crisis! (thats a joke, I like some of the things you did to your car)

1) I got the interior several years ago for my old blue TA. That car is gone now, R.I.P.
2) The red car is my new project car that desperatley needed an interior.
1+2 = a car that looks a LOT better without spending a dime.

The picture color is close, only slightly darker blue. The interior color has been fading to a lighter blue for the past 20 years. Everyone that has seen it in person thought it looked good. I think everyone "thinks it looks good" because it is in like new condition after 20 years, not because it is a great color combination. I may even consider getting the exterior painted blue sometime in the future because I like the color.
