Sport Coupe noses... what years?

OK, there are three SC noses that I can think of. The first is the one with three wide slots on the nose. Second, is a similar nose with thinner slots. And finally, there's the third with no slots at all.

Does anyone know what years these ran in production? My guess is:

82-83: first style
84-86: second style
87: third style

I think 87 was the last year for SCs. Maybe it was 88, I can't remember. So who has some insight?

Car: 85 Camaro SC
Engine: V6
Transmission: 700r4
There was 3 versions , the 82-84 with the 3 slots and the 85-87 with the 3 slots. Then in 88 the Sport coupe got a make over and recieved the then Z28/IROC-z gfx package. In 89 the Sport coupe was droped and the RS was the new sport coupe.

My 85 sport coupe now looks like an 88 sport coupe.

The 82-84's had the larger slots, 85-87's had smaller slots and 88's used the same nose as the Z28/Iroc, only with the RS style grille.

Are you guys positive that 84 had the larger slots? My 84 had the thin ones. It's possible it was replaced, though.

Yep the 82-84's had the larger slits than the 85-87's. It also has more of a boxy turn siginal than the 85-87's.

Interesting. I knew the 84 I used to have was in a front-end before I bought it, but didn't know it had a transplant. Good stuff.
