b&m ss with metal handle. Nice and simple looking. I made the shifter boot out of leather.

i guess from years of abuse, the cable finally stretched enough not to go all the way into the selected gear. had to drive the car home in third once (700r4). that sucked. but, it has seen ALOT of abuse at the track. the shifter probably has over 1000 hard shifts on it. and that will wear the cable out over time. shoot, it's seen 5 trannies!

Not bashing the mega shifter but mine was just terrible. I had problems with it ever since it was installed. I went to the hurst pistol grip quater stick shifter after B&M and I dont think I will buy another B&M product again.
Just my two cents

I think the cable. Not totaly sure. Some times it would get stuck in park. The linkage was stiff no mater what I did to adjust it. And one day I went from 2 nd to 3rd and the shifter went to reverse. I pulled it out that night and gave it to one of my buddies who wanted it. He also had issues with it. Even after replacing the cable. Like I said after I got my hurst I will never go back.

i had same prob adjusting cable it takes time to get it right at one point i had no park then could not get it in first gear, but when i did get 1 ST i had no 4th gear well you get the idea. My cable could just be old BUT my bro got a new one and he had a simaler prob he want to get rid of his and it only has like 10 -15 passes on it from the track

I love mine. I liked it so much that I bought mine 2 weeks before I even had the car sitting in the driveway. Seriously though, I think it is a very good shifter and I have had no problems with mine in the 8 years I have owned the car. The only thing that I did not like was the t-handle. So to be different, I got rid of the t-handle and got the billit **** from a quick silver shifter and put it on. Now I enjoy my shifter even more and don't have to worry about the infamous backward B&M tatoo you get when the shifter has been in the sun all day long.
Here is a old pic but it still shows the shifter in it's current config.
