ok.. so im not a big fan of aftermarket hoods.. i really like the stock look but i saw this hood and thought it looked pretty nice... just wondering who makes it.. cant find it anywhere...

thanks for the quick respnose.. any idea why they charge 360 for the hood louvers? i mean cant you get brand new ones from GM for like 100? or something like that. are they a special fit or something?

 

I have no idea what the going price is for them. You should be able to swing a good deal on the classified board. I am not a big fan of that hood, but unless its a Iroc, I would go with the blisters. Just my opinion.

 

louvers are discontinued so new ones will cost you. you can get them off ebay priced any where from $50 - $200 depending on condition and stuff. got a set of 91-92 blisters for my car for $100.

 

I have one of those on my 1992 Firebird, and it was made by a company called American Sports Car Designs. I think it was also called the Daytona hood. I don't know if this company is still in business or not.

i got that hood its the daytona hood, i modded mine and i have the louvers for it, not the blisters...and they are for sale....since as you can see i cant use them anymore....lol

 

i see you put hood pins in.. is that mandatory? or do you not need those?

 

With any fiberglass hood it is a good idea to pin them

 

well considering i dont have any stock latch or any of its associated equipment..making room for an intercooler....those are the only things holding my hood down....
