Re: Camaro books

I would suggest getting one of the GM service books. Chilton and Haynes only do so much. That book is definitely on my toget list.

Re: Camaro books

my two favorites are
(Camaro performance handbook, David shelby, ISBN 978-1-55788-057-4)
(how to tune & modify chevrolet fuel injection, motorbooks workshop, ISBN 0-7603-0422-x)
Take a look on half.com for those two and you will have more info then you need!!

I thought about getting those books but let me ask you this, is there anything in there that isn't covered on here? That was the only reason I never got them. If so I still may get them when ever I get some money lol.

Welcome to TGO. A GM shop manual for your year. Nothing better.

Re: Camaro books

i dont think any book will give you more info then you can find on here but the books compile it in a more organized way so that you can find the info faster. a gm shop manual may be better for working on your car in general but to get ideas for performance upgrades check out the other two. I honestly didnt even know that you could get a GM shop manual....lol semi nube here!!!

Re: Camaro books

lol I have been going through all the post on here for about the past 2 months compiling everything I could need and saving it into my favorites into kinda like chapters where I can easily find them. Hours and hours later I am still working on it.

Yeah the GM shop manuals correct me if I am wrong but I believe you can get them for about $100 or so around the Internet. Haynes and Chilton books are so vague and don't tell you EVREYTHING.

Hit the swap meets. At the most recent I attended, the price was $50. I can't emphasize how useful a shop manual can be--throw away the Haynes/Chilton versions.

Man I wished I could get out to some swap meets but I really don't hear of many around here.

This was the best I could find but I havent dug around that much for the absolute cheapest.
