Headlight motor: check it out

So I got my new motors today and when I installed them only one of them works. The driver side will not even show signs of power to the motor. I also plugged the passenger side motor into the driver's side. It wouldn't work. But the passenger's side wiring will power either motor. I think it might be a wiring problem. Any suggestions? Quickly please, I gotta fix this today. Movies tonight, females involved, help me out guys!

it could be a fuse, but i would think that would be the same fuse for both lights

just start following the wires back from the headlights, thats what i would do.

Not a fuse, but I've heard there are fusable links that can go. What exactly would I be looking for? Also this had to have just started happening because previously it would be be stripped but the motor would still turn. So what could go suddenly that is exclusive to the driver's side power?

relay birds are bad about it you could always run a switch and from the other side and make it wink when you want it to or just run a wire to the other side until you can get it sorted out

I think that there is a relay on each light. Look for it in the engine compartment, forward.

Alright I see the relay box, but if it's bad, where can I get another?

Any parts store sells them. I've had to replace all the relays under the hood ove rthe course of ownership of my GTA.

Re: Headlight motor: check it out

I actually ended up taking that ^ apart and rebonding the burnt wires together. Both headlights flip up like a charm.

Total cost: 1/2 hour.

lol

Thanks guys.
