Re: Spoiler fasteners

The part number is 20556524. It is discontinued IIRC.
But i ran the locator and there are some at a dealership in PA. They cost 4.83 each.
Their number is 1-888-870-0280. Best I can do for you.

This is the plastic clip.

Re: Spoiler fasteners

You have to go to a GM Dealer and they will give you a list on who has them in stock.Good luck finding them, they are very hard to find. When you get the list you will see that the dealers listed only from 1 to 3 in stock, your going to have to call most of them to accumulate the six you need.I did it a year ago and luckily I got them.

Re: Spoiler fasteners

I had that problem with this spoiler,I drilled out the piece of metal and I used a nut,I glued it in with weatherstripping adhesive and let it sit for a couple days and it worked out OK.

Re: Spoiler fasteners

You keep the ones on the hatch, don't remove them, you could damage the rear window.
Go to the "Spoiler Sale" thread, last page,82taRecaro posted a site you can get an idea from,it's something I did before I found clips.

From the service manual.... disregard first picture of pedestal tail.

I followed this procedure about 3 weeks ago when I put my OE rubber one back on and it worked fine.

Get a helper or two.

Re: Spoiler fasteners

The bottom of the clip is grooved so it would slid forward to lock it in the molding. That little piece is supposed to be kinda like a guide it holds the clip in place at the end of the molding.Set them up just like in the figure 62 that speedracer has.

Re: Spoiler fasteners

You'll have to go to your local GM Dealer and ask them to look up P/N 20556524 (that's the clips)and ask if he,she, would take the time and look up what dealer has any in stock, then your going to have to buy them from multiple dealers as that's what I had to do to get 6.These things are the hardest things to find, but their out there.I sold mine awhile ago.
These look just like them

Re: Spoiler fasteners

I bought mine from P.D.Q. Supply in NY aka autobodysupplies dot com

PN 89-6590 from Car-Pak which replaces 20556524. Look for clips & fasteners/domestic vehicle clips/click on car-pak catalog at the top/click on moulding clips/find part at the top left of page 170.

Whole box was cheap.

Good luck.
