I bought an 85 Z8 LB9 car in december of 86 in Brattleboro, VT. It was right next to a black IROC. The were both price the same but I really wanted the LB9 because of the HP rating over the carbed 305 and I liked the red better.
There was some after market window tinting, the louvers, it had AC, and it was a non- T top car, but the previous owner had an after market pop up rear sun roof put in.
Man I wish I could get my hands on a virgin non-T top one now. with 5.7. I was still paying for my car when the 5.7s came out.
Anyways, I sold the car in Colchester, VT in 91 or 92.
Just wondering if anyone has spotted a sunroof car like that.

Does anyone know how many non-T top Z28s and IROCs compared to T-tops body styles?
Thank you.

Matter of fact, my 82 has a sunroof that was installed sometime before I purchased it.

There were many sunroof ordered right from the factory new. They would sent them to ASC, a #1 company that did them before going out to buyers. I was going to buy a 88 Iroc with a sunroof, but it had no AC. You will know if it was done by ASC because it will look like it was made like that. I saw a 5th Gen the other day with one. Here is the link to the factory that installed them.http://www.ascautomotivestyling.com/sunroofs.html

Here is the actual link to see the 5th gen sunroof, same company that did the 3rd gens also.http://www.webastoshowroom.com/image...Camaro5300.jpg
This was no fancy sliding sunroof. It was a dark glass, that you unlatched the rear and it popped up a few inches in the rear and hinged on the front.
I would guess it was cheap aftermarket like the window tint it had,
but I loved the louvers!
Speaking of sunroofs, here is the 74 RR project I got going with the window crank style factory sunroof. Forgive the wrong 73 Satellite interior (it was free) and the wrong color/wrong pattern buckets (also free).

I hope my old Z28 still exists and I would love to find it.

i had an 84 berlinetta with a pop up sunroof. it looked pretty factory but i assumed the guy before me did it cause i havent heard of em.
cool, I forgot there were third gen berlinettas. My mother had a blue 80 berlinetta with the crazy 267 rochester dual jet engine. I think it was good for about half the HP of my 85 305 tpi.
man, the 80s were rough for wanting a performance car.
the muscle car era cars were either old and rough or too expensive, although I think the 85 with automatic 305 tpi was the most powerful 305 (matching 87,88 manual 305s) until 89 or so I think. I am not sure if it was dual exhaust or what then power went up. but as much as I wanted a new 350 I could not afford it, and they did not have much on the 305 in stock form. just a lot more potential, but if you can't afford a new 5.7 you could not afford to take advantage of the increased potential either.
I did not like the 91 and 92s as much as i did the 85-90, those are my favorite third gen years.
Power took a good jump with the LT fourth gens, and especially in 98 when the LS engines went in. I did not like the 4th gens as much, but that is where performance levels started getting fun again. Not like I could afford one. It seemed that by after 95, when I could get in the market for a new one, a top of the line performance Camaro cost 2 or 3 times what one would have in 1985.
Plus it was muddy dogs, car seats, etc. SUV and 4 doors for while for me.

Can't say I've seen any, but it's nice to see a fellow Vermonter on here. Hit up a few junkyards or trailer parks (provided it ever stops raining), you might just find it. :-)
