Okay, I have about $450 saved up and now I need to decide what to buy. I want one of the following, which one would you suggest?
A. 4th gen style wing from GT?
B. Ramair II hood from USBody?
C. Ramair hood from ASCD?
BTW, what does a set of ZR1-style wheels cost (17inch)

'89 Firebird Formula 350
2nd owner, red/grey, t-tops, dual cats, and a 3.27:1 rear
K&N, TB bypass, No MAF screens, CAI, full Accel ignition

You're looking at another $200'ish for the Ram Air II hood, even more for the ASCD. Not sure what the spoiler costs...

The Ram Air II hood will cost you a whole bunch more than $450. Start at $580 (including the 10% discount from ordering online), figure in $80 for shipping (Thats what they charge), then figure in costs for painting, and any modification you want done it it (Opening up holes for the Ram Air).

This is according to their websites and an email GTAuto sent me:
4th gen wing: $425
RamAir II hood: "lightweight" $399
ASCD RamAir hood: $522 (not that much more)

If Im correct, the lightweight hood is different only because it doesnt come with the hinges or latch.

I have also heard to stay away from US Body. I personally would save up a little more then get the Ram Air hood from ASCD.

Actually, the lightweight hood is not steel reinforced like the heavyweight hood. That means you can't use the stock hood supports and have to use a prop rod (I don't remember if they ship one with the hood or not). If you tried to use the hood struts it would snap the hood in half.
Replica ZR1 wheels are just under $800 for painted wheels. Chromed, you're looking at $1000. Real ZR1 wheels can run from $1500 to $2000 for the set. Then you'd be shopping for tires and spend from $400 to $1200 for 17 inch tires.
You obviously want a major external modification to your car. I suggest patiently saving some more to make sure you do it all the right way and at the same time. Makes it a much more pleasant experience. (eg. Got my hood/spoiler on, but damn, can't wait to get it painted, or got my rims but can't put em on because I'm stuck saving up for tires)
On a parallel, just because you have the cash, don't plop it down for the first thing that gets your attention. I did that, then came across a great deal on the same thing a couple days later, and you can imagine my chagrine.

I have the USbody Source Ram Air II hoo Heavy weight. DO NOT BUY THIS HOOD. It is finished like crap and it will need more glass to make it smooth. Mine had small cracks not visible until it was painted and then they won;t take it back. You will NOT get the rebate. You can't use your hood support struts with either hood. and it will be nearlt impossible to make it functional. It does look better than the ASCD hood but it's not worth it. The ASCD hood should be better and cheaper.

Uhhh... Right. I have the heavyweight hood as well, and it is made expressly to use all of your latches and struts. The lightweight is a lift off unit and has to be held on with Dzus fasteners or hood pins. AND mine was finished just fine and there aren't any small cracks. AND I have made mine functional, so I guess I can do the impossible. AND I got the rebate. ANDI think it's worth it. AND everyone has their opinions.

It costed me a little bit of money, but I made mine functional, it wasn't that difficult, I got the rebate, I don't have any small cracks, the hood fit fine, the hood finished fine. The hood looks GREAT! Other than the fact of the price I spent on the hood to get all that I want done to it, I absolutuly LOVE the hood. And it looks 100X better than ASCD's RA hood.
