they're probably halogen bulbs...i thought maybe sylvania would have an online automotive catalogue but they dont. anyway, many of the newer cars have halogen bulbs on the outside and if this is true for the vettes camaros etc the style they have wont fit.

there was a thread around here the other day talking about making thirdgen parking lights brighter, its probably in here or in appearence...
It said something about there being a brighter light bulb you could use, but that it runs too hot, I don't recall what was finally decided.

I also heard that you can reverse the wires (put the positive on the negative and the negative on the positive) and it makes them brighter. The drawback is the turn signals don't work in front, only in back and on your side markers. I was always wondering if putting the orange lenses on (from the older third gens) with bright, clear bulbs would make them brighter. But I dont know if the orange lenses would fit or if it would even work. If you figure out something that works, let me know.. I've always wanted mine as bright as the newer cars. Good luck.

Yea I'e thought of that. I would like to make my front turn signals as running lights/turn signals. So when the light are turned off the brighter filament would be on and then when I turn on the lights they function as normal. Any body know how?

I believe that you are referring to the Daytime running light modules that are on the newer cars, but I could be wrong. I don't remember exactly where I found it but, I have printed out the directions on how to do the conversion. Do a search on google.com for 'DRL' and you should find some useful information.

BTW- The directions that I found required installing a toggle switch to change from DRL mod to normal mode to insure proper operation of the lights. It would be simple enough to install a relay in it's place so that the lights would automatically operate in normal mode when the headlights are on.

Anyone find the article? I tried "DRL" and "Daytime Running Light Conversion" and "DRL Conversion" but all I can find is instructions for a RX-7. If anyone finds it, post the address. Thanks.

I saw that too but his car is a 1995 Z28. Will that same set up work with a 92 or any other third gen? I'm sure it will, but I'm not great with electronics so I don't wanna blow my car up.

Yea and if you don't use the toggle switch will they still work like the daytime driving lights?
