Darn driveways! Nosepiece perril

Ok, I've got the tip of my nose pretty scratched up. It wasn't to good when I got it, but it certainly isn't getting better. since this peice is would cost a very large amount of money, for a very isolated area of damage, what can I do to protect this area? I can fix the physically damaged part with some epoxy and try to get the color matching again...but is there anything I can use to protect it after it looks good again?!

after a while you will get used to this. Dont worry about it, it will always scratch up.

Yeah, get used to it. Mine was painted nice when I bought it, but after the winter it was pretty bad. I just sanded it smooth and gave it a coat of spray paint. I was thinking about getting a new one, and when I crashed it yesterday and cracked the nose, I decided I'm gonna get the nose, ground effect, grill, and new parking lights so I can do it all at once. Then I'm just gonna be extra careful... backing into spots with curbs, avoiding steep hills, etc. Good luck.

You just have to drive real careful. I scraped mine a few months after painting my car. I was pulling into the dry cleaner and I didn't put enough angle to keep the nose up. As soon as I felt the front wheels go down I knew I was in trouble but it was too late to slam on the brakes. Oh well.

last summer i floored the camaro into the back of some nissan altima (turned out to be a priest...hehe..he was nice though). I f***ed up the altima while my camaro only had cracked the nose and bent the passenger quarter panel...but anyways, my point is that after i fixed it all (new front end), and it had brand new paint i just threw on a bra with nice coat of wax, and that seems to protect it pretty well, and it looks good with my black stripes.

I got stuck sideways in my driveway this winter and ripped 2 big tears in the GFX. I also cracked arounf the passenger park light. I think I can fix the park light but the chin spoiler has been fixed way to many times. I bought a bra to cover the front end until I could afford the paint and the $300 piece of plastic!! It looks good although I am not a person that likes car bras.

It's all about SLOW driving...especially into/out of driveways...and always at a steep angle.

One word:

Angle

Anytime going up a driveway or incline, try to do so at a angle.
