Change your shifters Color from red!

Another free mod I've been working on today, ever want to be really different? Most every car on the planet has a reddish orange color, so why not change it? I did...

I wrote this tech article if you want to change yours too. Check it out http://www.mikekey.net/fbody/shifter

Not bad, I liked the yellow... made it much clearer. Not sure if I'll ever get around to do it, but does look alot nicer.

I'm currently working on a tech artile for this myself. Its a little more involved (and more expensive), and you get full customization of the shifter colors . I'll post it when its ready (hopefully by the end of the week)

Yeah I've been getting these results too, I am thinking that perhapps we have to use paint rather than a piece of paper. During the day it looks fine, but at night.... same deal with every color I choose. I am gonna try it with a neon green paint.

I've always known you could do it, I've just never seen anyone do it. Its such a simple concept and so easy to do, yet no one really does.

Along the same idea you can easily change your turn signal indicators color too.

Remove the green or whatever color disks are currently over the indicator lights and cut out a clear plastic piece the same size (I used some plastic packaging from something I bought to cut the disks out of). Then paint it whatever color you want, install those disks in place of the originals and see how it looks.

I've currently got blue turn signal indicators, might try bright red or something later. Hard to see during the day, looks killer at night though with the homemade white face gauges. Need to mess with the indicator color some more...

I just did this today, I had some clear red and blue chips about the same size for a game that I used. Just trimmed them with scissors. I have red ones now!
