That Whistling Noise!
So, I installed new weather strip for my doors and TTOPS yet I still hear a whistling noise on the freeway and at high speeds. Any ideas?

Maybe the weather stripping needs a while to adjust to your car. What brand did you get?

Maybe you need to adjust the windows and make sure they are seated into the weatherstripping. What brand weatherstripping did you use?

Op, I don't know if these articles help. I had read something on how to install them a while back but not sure if either of these are it or not. Most are based on water leaking in which should be even worse if you have wind noise.

FWIW, the T-Tops were designed with a two zone barrier with the first barrier that opens to a channel that diverts water to the sides. One thing you can do is to try pushing in where ever you hear the noise and see if you can change the sound. You may need a passenger to help with places you can't reach. Once you've found the area where it's leaking then you'll have to figure out what's causing the situation. It could be a simple matter of adjusting the window, or even replacing the triangle seal on the door. Don't try to add silicone or fill in behind it without researching the correct way to deal with it. Most of the time if you try to fix it intuitively it will only make it worse.

if you haven't fixed the problem yet I had this issue a while back. this may not be the issue on yours but it fixed mine. the retainers that hold the Ttop pins in weren't low enough in turn not giving the Ttop a good seal. very easy to adjust takes about 5 minutes. might wanna give it a shot. good luck.
