I didnt even get a chance to reply to my own topic! Well for all of you that posted, I bought mine in Nov. of 1999. The guy wanted $4650, I ended up paying a little over $4000 (that even included TT&L). The car was in rough shape. It has come A LONG way since then. After I get it back from the paint shop, I'll probably have close to $9,000 in it. Kinda scary!! It still has a long way to go (ZR-1 wheels, motor/tranny/rearend swap) but it still runs very good with all the bolt-ons and looks immaculate. I take pride in my car as I'm sure all of you guys do.

Maybe so, but where else would I put this post? Thank you all for replying!! It produced some interesting stories. I guess all of you other third-gen guys can continue posting on this one with more buying stories / "condition of body-interior" when purchased etc.. Keep em' coming!

I bought mine off a lady who used to drive it to work witch was about 5 miles from her house, She was the original owner. I paid $3500 for it. It had if i remember about 40,000 miles on it and was in amazing condition. just some scrapes on the mirrors and fron fender, looks like she had some problems navigating the garage. The interior was and still is perfect. She even had the original T-Top shades in there box. But I had to do some minor work, nothing I didn't plan on changing anyway, some suspenssion stuff, starter, alt, and now water pump. But for a 13 year old car thats common.

$5200 for my 92 RS from a dealer. It was in awesome shape, 61K miles, black, 305 automatic. Sold for $4000 cause of the cracked nose, noises coming from the back, and minor rust.
$5200 for my 89 IROC from a private seller. MUCH nicer. No rust, t-tops, grey interior, 82K, 5 year old paint. I'm happy

lt500r55 - I appreciate the reply, and all you others too! I think it's a good topic as well! Now, if I could only get an answer from RCR-moderator as to why he closed my original post on this!!
Typically if you have an idea for a thread and you don't see a board that seems right for the topic then its offtopic for thirdgen. Due to past problems non-technical posts have been determined bad. Incidently attempting to get an idea of what common values of thirdgens are currently is something that would probably fall under history and restoration. While its not really right on, its history of thirdgen pricing. Anyway if the mod wants to move this thread he can put it on my board and I'll watch it.

Moderator- thanks for the response! Is it possible to reopen a Topic once it has been closed? If so, I would like my original Topic "How much did you orinally pay for you 3rd gen" reopened. Thanks

Sorry it took so long to answer, but you should have taken it to email. Anyhow, the topic has nothing to do with the section, and how much I paid for my Formula isn't quite technical. Sorry if I pushed your buttons...
BTW, this is closed, too.
