3rd to 2nd gen bumper conversion

I just got my first Firebird and I'm really excited! I was wondering; is it possible to put a late 2nd gen bumper on an early 3d gen Firebird? I bought a 1982 model (2nd gen Firebirds are really hard to come by here), but I actually like the bumper design of the Firebirds from 1977 till 1981.

Thanks in advance for the help, greets from Holland!

Sure it's possible. I've even seen that front end put on a Nissan s13. Is it possible for YOU to do? Realistically speaking, probably not. That's a lot of fabrication work.

It would be easier to try to install a Firebird bumper... Which I do not think would be easy either...

I thought it would look way more ridiculous than it actually does.. It actually looks kind of neat...

I was actually thinking of rear bumpers... But at any rate.

The front bumper would be almost impossible, you would have to get one fabbed up or make one...

It kind of reminds me of a 2nd Gen Funny Car....

It don't look bad.... Just different. I get kind of a chevy monza feeling from it though, something about how the angle of the nose flattens/or chops off the angle of the car. Sorta like the monza.

Now that black one with the shaker scoop and hood bird... I really like that
