Odd Firebird Body Kit
The car appears to be rather unremarkable with the exception of the body kit.
I have never seen one quite like this.
Honestly there are some aspects that look ok, other things are just whacky... The mirrors and the spoiler just killed it for me.

Re: Odd Firebird Body Kit
That is definately a unique looking kit....Trying to replicate Ferrari and the like to me.
The mirrors are common I believe, as mine are identical to those. Spoiler is not common, I bet if they used the wrap around style, it'd look better.
Modified testerossa kit maybe?

Re: Odd Firebird Body Kit
They look like the stock mirror on a pedestal or something...

The sides do look Testarosaish, the tail lights I think would have been better with the typical Round Ferrari type, rather than whatever those are. I actually do not mind the front of it, beyond the headlights looking a little out of place...
It fits pretty well together ( the pieces line up reasonably well in the pictures) the only thing that looks to be out of alignment is the hood in the rear flairs up by the windshield.

Haven't seen that before either. I think I like the back, doors and hood are terrible. Kinda looks like the front was going for batmobile

Try pulling into a slanted driveway with that long front end. Definite Damage. But, on the other hand, I like the gaudiness if it just had better fitment.
Re: Odd Firebird Body Kit
I really don't know how I feel about it. I don't hate it, but it could definitely use some improvements. For starters, the front-end is a little to squarish. Smaller diameter wheels would help too.

Well the lights they got something there...I mean look at how many ppl are trying to make lights that dont go up and down. So that idea should be embraced by the firebirders.
I would definately re-do the nose cone area...Waaaaay to long, and it just doesn't quite sit right...At least make it look 70 model ish.
Round tail lights or put the originals back in, and wrap them around the sides...
Put some gills after the front tires (Like older 70's 1/2 year models had)
leave the heat extractors, on the inside lines run dual old school style ram airs....
That would make for a bad assed looking machine.

At one time I thought the Pontiac Sunbird headlights with a different hood & facia might be able to pull it off... End up with something more like this.

Re: Odd Firebird Body Kit
Hmmm, yeah, not digging it. Thirdgen 'Birds are some of the prettiest cars ever made IMO, why mess with perfection? There's not a whole lot you can do to a thirdgen Firebird to improve its looks, and of the few things you might do even fewer involve changing body panels, headlights, mirror and spoilers..... Plus, the hood doesn't even fit right. Uneven around the headlights, and sticking up in the rear passenger side.
Re: Odd Firebird Body Kit
What kind of spoiler do you think would look best on that car?

No spoiler at all, or something just a bit more subtle.... Granted there is nothing subtle about the car, however the spoiler just does not flow.
Dang, nothing like bringing back 5 year old threads...

Re: Odd Firebird Body Kit
Shorten that front end up 8 or 10 inches and that would be a pretty decent looking car, and I usually don't like body kits at all.
