Hey, I was wanting to replace my 1992 camaro RS emblems on the 2 sides and the one on the back, but how do I remove the ones that are already on the car. I'm not sure if they are on there with double sided tape, or held on with speed nuts or what..I've been reading different things.

on the side skirts/gfx its just a sticker sort of thing made of plastic about 1/8th thick
just pry it off with flat screw driver.

 

i thought there were mounting tabs in the back..but here's a way to test that...and remove at same time..."floss" 'em off with a guitar string/metal wire....get wire behind one side and floss 'em up and down while working to the opposite side..If you hit a tab, then you know there's tabs....if not continue to other side...then get heat gun/hairdryer to get goo off..remember to move gun frequently as to not bake your paint...

 

sounds like a good idea zero, I'll do that. Here's a question, Hawk's says this is for an 87-90 camaro....why not a 92 camaro? Whats the difference.

dont use metal to floss off emblems use the white plastic straps they use to strap cardboard boxes closed when you recieve packages take the straps and split into 1/8 inch strips

 

Got the rocker panel and back bumper emblems off, now what about the hood emblem how is that attached?

 

couple of 10mm speed nuts i think..can reach yer hand in there with a socket....did your rocker emblems have tabs?..Let everyone know..or post a pic...help another member out...

How do you even start the process since it is recessed in the panel?
Any tips would be most appreciated. 1992 25th Anniv / Heritage
