Lambo Doors on a '82 Z28
tfw you realize your username's wrong
No local body shop or "lift door" specialist are capable of installing them
What do?
I was thinking of going with doorconversion.ca 's 60 degree universal kit and maybe weld the bolt still anyways as the old doors are heavy.

This is a Camaro/firebird forum...sounds like you took a wrong turn on the way to the Honda forum.

I was at the gas station a few years ago when a middle aged guy (could have been the same age as myself) pulls in with a yellow 5th Gen. He opens the Lambo door to get out. Right when his head was perfectly positioned, the door dropped down and clocked him good.
I laughed.

Wow man, not even original content macros.
Thankfully the lack of approval from internally sane individuals on the internet doesn't make me lose sleep
I feel everyone can agree lambo doors on catfish fourthgen are silly but if you ever were to mod your current doors I think a thirdgen Z28 is where to be. Also at least I'm putting 60 degree ones on and not 90s like in the image you posted...
Even an iRoc paired with lambo doors is too much

Real talk, your standard doors that your kids friends & parents in law use as well seem more played out than anything :rolling:

Fair, just anticipated the blows from reading previous threads. I mean the car's fully running, changed sparks & plugs, remanufactured carb, replaced pedal, redone front suspension, brakes, gas tank replaced.
Changing the exhaust pipes to fit chrome caps on the end, brake lines, and the wheel caps are all i have left I'd imagine.
The paint could use a touch up but I'm having professionally re-coloured later this year. It's already a modded manual to automatic.
I've re-done the entire interior and am considering looking into compatible leather seats perhaps modern ones with AC built into them but none prob exist in my car's design.
Lambo doors is just sort of one of the last things I have to accomplish from what I dreamt up a year ago to this month.
Edit: if you notice one of my other threads I chipped a plastic bit when cleaning it and am still upset as itll as be the only imperfection once finished aside from the personal choice to change the rear hatch & lock/unlock switches with yellow from the 92 era Z28s

It's your car so do what makes you happy. However, be warned that when you go to resell it some people will not buy it because it has lambo doors and some would buy it but not pay any extra for it. So if you think you'll sell it in the next 5 years you'll really need to be sure you really want them.

lol you do whatever you want to your car. Still going to laugh at it if I ever see you climb out of it at a gas station.

Re: Lambo Doors on a '82 Z28
I don't think they look all that bad, but if I were going to rock a set of those on a Camaro it would need to be a hardtop, have at a minimum of 18" rims all around, and triple black paint. That's my opinion anyway. The doors themselves aren't that bad, but don't roll up with 15" crappy rims, stock faded paint and a carbureted LG4 with a set of those...

Ah see that's all I wanted, you gotta be for something else / you can't just be against something.
I plan to a custom mixture of charcoal grey and black, no lg4
on the rims

You need a full cage body for that to really work. That's either lots of tools, skills and time or a huge fabrication shop bill. My opinion on that stuff is if you can do it then you're better off just making your own car or buying a kit car.
