A$$holes vandalized my car last night!!!

Last night I had a brick thrown through the driver side window then they smashed the front windsheild. If my alarm had worked like I was told it would they might have only gotten away with breaking one window. When I first had my alarm installed I got back home and played with it trying to set it off. I couldn't get it to go off unless I opened the door. So I took it back thinking I had to have additional sensors installed but they told me that it was designed not to go off unless it sensed a load noise like a window breaking. Well I found out the hard way that that was a total lie!

Do you guys know how much each piece of glass is to have replaced?

Mark

....

Thats terrible, people can really be jerks i guess.
Anyways, if youre looking to save a couple bucks the window glass can be bought from any junkyard for cheaper than new. (dont know exact $$$ amounts)
As for the windshield, i had one put in a non f-body car once for about 150 dollars. Maybe check with your insurance company and see if you have any kind of glass coverage?..... In florida windshield replacement by insurance law is FREE!

Well if your insurance doesn't cover it you're looking at some serious issues with your wallet. If you had an alarm and it didn't go off, you might be able to take it up with the manufacturer or the installer.

yeah insurance should cover it, if not hit the junkyards, you get get a new door glass and windshield for under 100$, 3rd gens are a dime a dozen in the yards so you shouldnt have a problem.

Teal camaros don't suck if they're takin care of! Lots of junkyards should have them, or if the insurance is gonna coverit get new ones from gm.

I paid $307 for a new windsheild and side window. This sound like a fair price? The are both new pieces not used.

Old topic hope not to late

If it happened at home, and in the driveway call your homeowners insurance and they will cover it, less deductable, and your rate on your car wont go up.
If it was in the street then put it in the driveway sweep up glass and throw that in driveway to.
If you have not reported it at all yet call home owners they will tell you you probably need a police report, then call the police department, and tell them what happened to your car when it was in your driveway, and you insurance needs a report thats why you waited so long to report it, but If you have not reported to any one yet you could say it happened yesterday.
Just my $0.02
