Re: Door Question...

All 82-92 doors will bolt to any 82-92 F-body.

'Early' (82) doors and 'late' (92) doors are not built the same and have different internals parts. Most internals parts are interchangeable,....... not all.

The later doors have better crash protection.

Re: Door Question...

Are the holes for the ground effects the same between Camaros and Firebirds? I need to replace the driver door on my '91 GTA and I came across a '91 Z28 that is being parted out. The door looks to be in really good shape, but I'm not sure that the GFX will transfer over without drilling new holes (which I'd rather not do.

Re: Door Question...

I believe the ground effects are different, but the holes could be the same....On my 91 TA they're below the door on the rocker panel.....not on the door.

I don't think you're understanding the part I'm asking about. I'm talking about the piece that mounts to the door (obviously Camaro body parts look different). If you have a correct '91 T/A, then you should have something on the door as well that is a part of the "aero" appearance package. I was asking if the mounting holes for those lined up the same as the appearance package on the Camaro.

So you don't have ANY trim pieces on the lower exterior of your door? Then you're missing something.

Re: Door Question...

Are you talking about the ground affects ON the bottom of the door? My Z28 does not have that and I don't see any holes to mount it to.

Re: Door Question...

Yes, the pieces that mount to the door itself. I know the doors are the same between Firebirds and Camaros, but I was curious if the holes are the same between the two models.
