Looking for hood/spoiler opinions on my 91 RS
Hey all I’m looking for opinions on hood/spoiler on my 91 RS
Bought this as a non-running project that had apparently hit something in the front and received a new core support at some point.
It also had this 87 Z28 hood on it.
My original plan was a Z28 clone so I grabbed some hood blisters and have been looking for an aero wing.
Having second thoughts on that though so I’d like some opinions.
Should I
1. Z clone. Find an aero wing
2. Back to RS. Find a smooth hood. Meh.
3. Run the hood blisters and find a wicker bill-ish type spoiler.
Any thoughts? See pic. It’s currently jacked up in the rear. Fuel gauge sender is shot so I’m waiting on a sending unit.

This is a really personal choice. If you want something that look stock. Going with a Z28 clone is always great.
I personally own a 91 Z28, but am doing a very heavy resto mod on it.
I will be running the stock spoiler and a 3" cowl Cervini hood. One of the nicest 3rd gen hoods out there.
It is finished on the underside as well. Makes it a bit heavy for a fiberglass hood, but it is SOLID. Plus it has the correct thickness at the front lip so it sits correctly on the nose.

Here's a thought for ya.. 82-4 z28 hood, some of them came from the factory as a fiberglass piece.

There's an in between option. Use the Z28 hood w/blisters, stock RS rear spoiler, Z28 Grille & Fog Lights, black headlight buckets, leave the RS badging. Nothing wrong with a an RS that's a little dressed up.
