Youll be fine... if ya wanna get it out though, heres how. Get one of those pen-magnet things. Then, tie a rope to it, drop it down the duct, and pull it up with your screw attached!

I did that a while back... do not drivve the car until you get it out. I made that mistake, its worked it's way into the dash far enough the magnet on a rope trick won't work. But I didn't just drop a screw, the end of the socket went with it, so they clank on each other when I go around corners. I am going to try going in through the blower motor to get them out. Good luck!

I dropped a few screws down there, I just drive fast and take turns quick..sooner or later it comes out. Just remmeber you were missing it. Took me a month to figure out why there was this loose screw in my car.

I dropped a key down there. Well it didn't drop, it was thrown. Firstly, I was heading out to post a letter which for some obscure reason I sat on the dash. I had the window open also and when I took a right turn my letter flew out of the window. First Doh of the day. Then, after running around the road like a complete lunatic to get my letter back (for a cash rebate so it was worth risking life over) I for some other obscure reason put one of my house keys on the dash (don't even comment on this one) and when I hit the brakes, yup you guessed it, I went down the vent. Second Doh of the day. This was in the space of 5 minutes. Hey, I was in a hurry to get to the airport. It was never seen again and hasn't ever made a noise.

I lost a socket down there once (a 7mm ). Haven't seen or heard it since. I assume it's building an advanced civilization in there or something... I'll find it one day though, and it'll be happily reunited with it's metric brothers and sisters and it's SAE brother and sister-in-laws (whom it hates).

although this is not a 15 min job, when I took my dash out it was really easy to get anything that might have been int there. Unfortuantely no one that owned the car before me droped anything in there for a surprise, luckily I have yet to drop anything in there. I like the screen Idea..
