lt vs LS1 rear brakes

what's the main differences between these two? i'm trying to figure out some new options since my new rear won't be able to accept my 91 rear disc brakes.

LT1 rears are the same as yours, just different backing plates and offset on the rotors.

LS1's have a drum parking brake. The drum is built into the rotor.

In addition to the drum parking brake, LS1's have thicker rotors too.

I came across 98 rear disc, the only the that was missing where the calipers, the brakes that hold the calipers, and pads. I guessing that i would need 98 parts to complete the upgrade to my 87 camaro. would U happen to know if the 98 gears would fit the 87 rear end?

LS1's have aluminum calipers, while I believe the LT1's and older have steel ones. One advantage to aluminum is you can polish them up real nice like I did on my LS1.

You sure you aren't thinking of 'Vettes? I could've sworn LT1's aren't aluminum but I could be wrong.

Ok, maybe I'm wrong about the aluminum part. But anyway, the LS1 rear brakes are definitely bigger. I know the front brakes are a lot better than the LT1 (dual piston vs. single piston, etc.) but I never paid much attention to the rear brakes.
