converting to rear PBR brakes
I have a 9 bolt with rear disk brakes on the car and a 4th gen(LT1)rear complete with calipers and rotors. Is it possible just to take the caliper brackets off the 4th gen and slap em on the 9 bolt?

The following link may provide some info, including where you may find the 9-bolt backing plates:

Backing plates, lines (hard and flex), and parking brake cable. I've been told, but have no personal experience, that 9-bolts don't require shimming. However, you might keep that in mind if the carrier doesn't center over the rotor.

Yes...all you'd need is the correct backing plates and "maybe" new axle hard lines. I'd try the LT1 lines first and try to make them fit, they aren't that much longer than the 3rd gen lines.
Daz, sent you a PM about NE3G...

I'd definitely keep the 9 bolt if you like the gear ratio you have, stronger than the 10 bolt.

If you don't break it, then you don't need parts. Only abuse will break your rear axle componets.

What?????????
I have an 89 9bolt with pbr and 3.27's. I can't find a drivers side axle shaft to save my a$$. Unless I want to spend 150+ for a new one.
